The October 2026 ATF enforcement policy does not eliminate applicable Special Occupational Tax obligations for businesses manufacturing, importing or dealing in NFA items. Dealers must maintain the qualifications required for the activity they conduct. An FFL license and SOT status concern the business; they do not establish registration of a particular item to its eventual buyer.
