To help protect your account and sensitive information, we are introducing a new Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) process for ALL users.
Beginning 6/22/2026, you will be required to verify your identity using a security code in addition to your password when signing in. This added layer of security helps prevent unauthorized access.
What to expect
- You will receive a verification code via SMS or a phone call.
- The verification step may be required when logging in from a new device, browser, or location.
- A valid phone number is required to receive the code.
- When you enter the access code, make sure you select the box that says, "Remember this browser for 30 days" prior to confirming the code. Otherwise, you will be asked for a code each time you log in.
The Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) will be sent via your registered phone number (as displayed in MyGunBroker > Account) at least once every 30 days.
When logging in after initial enablement or the expiration period, users will be prompted to request an access code as shown below:
Once an access code is requested, users are allowed 20 minutes to retrieve the code from their phone via either SMS Text or Voice Message (which ever option was chosen when prompted) and enter it on the following screen. Check the box to remember the session for 30 days, or leave it unchecked if using a shared device. If you check the "remember this browser" and you are still being asking to enter a code, please make sure your browser default settings are not set to automatically clear cookies when your browser closed. This needs to be done for each device and browser you use if you are using multiple devices.
The submit button becomes available once a code of appropriate length is entered.
Important notes for the best 2FA experience:
- Please be patient as authentication text or call may take up to 5 minutes to appear/be received
- Clicking "Request another code" generates a new code and invalidates the previously sent code which may further delay authentication until the new code is received
- Each code is valid for 20 minutes
- Accounts will be locked-out after 3 consecutive unsuccessful attempts
