Common Master FFL Dealer Profile Questions:
How to "Claim a Profile" - follow this link to obtain your Master FFL profile: CLAIM YOUR PROFILE
Phone Verification during Profile Claim
When a dealer claims a Master FFL profile, verification is performed using the phone number on file with the ATF.
- Verification codes may be delivered by text message or automated call
- Many ATF-listed numbers are landlines connected to business phone systems or auto-attendants. These systems often block or fail to process automated verification calls, including “press 1 to confirm” prompts, which prevents successful verification.
- The phone number comes from ATF records and cannot be edited directly
Didn’t receive Over the Phone Password email
If you are not receiving a password reset email:
- Confirm you are attempting to log in with the same email address that was used to claim your profile initially
- Please check spam or junk folders
- Allow a few minutes for delivery
If you still cannot access Master FFL, please contact Master FFL Support directly and include the following information:
- The email address used to claim the profile
- Your FFL number
You are trying to add multiple FFLs and are receiving an error
Each dealer profile currently requires a unique email address. This is why claiming a second location with the same email results in an error. Please ese a different email address for each location.
Why Some Fields Are Locked
Dealer profiles in Master FFL include information from multiple sources. Master FFL does not override information sourced from the ATF or Google. If a field is read-only, it must be updated at the original source.
ATF-Controlled Fields – The following fields are sourced directly from ATF records and are read-only in Master FFL:
- FFL number
- License type
- License status (active / expired / revoked)
- Business name on license
- Premises address
- Mailing address
- License issue date
- License expiration date
Requests to Edit or Remove ATF-Sourced Information – If you want to change license-related information (address, business name on license, license dates, or status):
- You must update it directly with the ATF
- Once the ATF processes an update, changes will automatically flow into Master FFL.
Google-Controlled Fields – The following fields are sourced from the dealer’s Google Business Profile and cannot be edited within Master FFL:
- Business hours
- Customer reviews
- Map pin placement
- Street View imagery
Updates must be made in Google. Changes may take time to appear in Master FFL after being updated.
