There are some circumstances when a user is unable to access their GunBroker account. If you are having trouble logging in to your account, some issues can be resolved by the user through links that are within the message shown, or the user is able to contact Customer Support for assistance.
Locked
If the information on the account is invalid, or a violation of the terms on the site, you are able to click the "Edit Your Account Information" link displayed when you login to update the account profile. Once you have updated your account information, the account status will change to Your account is locked and under review and you will need to contact Customer Support to request a review of your account for activation. Examples of invalid information or violation of the terms are:
- Invalid First and/or Last Name
- Company Information provided in the First and/or Last Name fields
- Invalid Address/Phone information
- Invalid Bank Account Type
- Inappropriate User Name
Unable to Verify
In order to provide a stable and secure environment for you to conduct your transactions, GunBroker requires complete and accurate information from all of users. When you register, using your personal information, we attempt to verify your name and address through a third party. If we are unable to verify the information successfully, your account will be set to "Failed Validation" and documentation to verify your name and address is required. If you receive the following message, please follow the instructions provided in the Notice.
Under Review
If the account has the status Under Review, the user is required to contact Customer Support for assistance. The most common reasons an account has this status are:
- Another account already exists on the site
- Too many failed attempts to submit a credit card to the account
- Account profile updated and manual verification is required
- Credit Request report cancelled and manual review is required
- Increased number of negative feedback postings
Verification Process Required
If a user updates their account profile information, the site requires the user to complete a third party identity check to activate the account.
Account Closed
If the account has the status Closed, the user is required to contact Customer Support for assistance. The most common causes for this status are:
- Unpaid balance
- Unresponsive to Support Issue or Transaction Problems
- Violation of User Agreement
Closed by User
If a user requests to have their account closed, they are presented with the option to automatically reactivate the account.
Non Paying Buyer Suspension
If you failed to complete a transaction(s) on the site, and the seller completed the required Credit Request report, your account is suspended for a period of time. You are able to contact Customer Support for assistance for the time frame to request the account be reviewed for reactivation.
Past Due
If there is a balance due on the account you are able to click the hyperlink Make a Payment within the status message to navigate to the Billing Information page for your account. Once you have made a payment to bring the account balance to $0.00, the account will be re-set to the previous status (normally Active). If the account is not re-activated, please contact Customer Support for assistance.
Duplicate Account
This status indicates there is another account profile(s) which is associated with the registration and/or login location for the account. Please contact Customer Support for assistance.
Terminated
This may occur if you have received negative feedback, failed to complete a transaction or violated our Site Rules. If you wish to appeal this decision, please contact Customer Support. Please refer to our User Agreement for more information.
Foreign User
If the user has provided international profile information, or is accessing the site from an international location, the account will have this status.
Note: GunBroker.com does not allow access to the site from anonymous proxy servers, VPNs, or any other method which masks the users actual location.
GDPR
Accounts which have location information within the European Union, or other countries participating in the European Union, are not able to utilize the site at this time. The European Union has implemented regulations which prevent GunBroker from allowing business to be conducted from and to these areas. For additional information, please see: GDPR Help Document
