GunBroker does not accept payment for items on behalf of sellers. Sellers are responsible for collecting the payment directly from the buyer. As a seller, you choose which payment methods you can accept (e.g., money order, certified check, personal check).
Accepting credit cards
To accept credit cards, you must have:
A merchant bank account, and
A relationship with a credit card payment processor/payment gateway.
This is generally available only to established businesses. If you add a supported payment gateway to your GunBroker account, you can accept payment through Immediate Checkout.
Resources:
If you do not have credit card processing set up, do not include credit cards as an accepted payment method on your listings. Consider GunTab (below) as an alternative.
GunTab Escrow
GunBroker offers GunTab Escrow, which buyers and sellers can use for added protection and to reduce fraud risk.
For items prohibited by PayPal, we recommend using GunTab instead—it is gun-friendly and offers low fees.
Prohibited payment methods (cash apps/person-to-person transfers)
Effective January 1, 2022, person-to-person money transfer apps may not be used to pay for firearms, firearm accessories/parts, or ammunition. This includes PayPal, Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and similar services. Use of these services violates the apps’ terms and GunBroker’s User Agreement/Site Rules/listing policies.
Important: The Buyer’s Protection Program (BPP) does not cover payments made using these apps.
Wire transfers
GunBroker does not support wire transfers because they cannot be disputed or reversed and are not protected.
