Sellers can accept direct payments for listings through GunBroker's Immediate Checkout. To use this feature, sellers must have a merchant account associated with a supported payment gateway.
Immediate Checkout through a payment gateway allows buyers to pay quickly and securely as soon as the listing ends. Payments made using Immediate Checkout go directly to a seller's bank account through the selected payment gateway.
If you do not have an account with a Payment Gateway, you can still use Standard Checkout for managing orders. In this case, payment is handled directly between the buyer and seller outside of GunBroker - sellers simply obtain payment info directly from the buyer to input into their point of sale system.
Step 1: Checkout Settings
- From your My GunBroker page, click Toolbox> Setup Checkout.
- To display a logo, you can include an external link (URL) to a .jpg or .gif image (optional).
Step 2: Enter Payment Gateway information:
To set up a Payment Gateway for Immediate Checkout, you must have (or set up) an account with a supported Payment Gateway.
- Select the checkbox in the window labeled I would like to enable a payment gateway for my auctions.
- Select your Payment Gateway from the drop down list of supported gateways.
- Fill in all required fields for the Payment Gateway.
- Click Save Changes.
Step 3: Test the Payment Gateway:
You can test processing a charge through your Payment Gateway using the GunBroker system. We charge $1.00 to a credit card of your choice through the Payment Gateway. Based on the Gateway response, GunBroker notifies you if the charge is approved or declined, and sends you information about the response. With this response, you can work with the Payment Gateway to troubleshoot any setup problems.
Click Test Gateway at the bottom of the Payment Gateway Information page and follow the prompts.
Notes on Payment Gateways:
- For Payment Alliance International customers, please see: Payment Alliance. Payment Alliance's Gateway is also known as eProcessing Network (ePN).
- If your ePN account is set to use a "restrict key," this must be included in your Checkout settings.
- Payflow Pro restricts the type of transactions they accept. Please see your Payflow Pro User Agreement as well as the Payflow Pro Terms and Conditions.
- Authorize.net also restricts the type of transactions they accept. Please see your Authorize.net User Agreement and the Authorize.net Terms and Conditions.
- Clearent support representatives should be able to request your Secret/API key, or you can reach out directly to onboarding@clearent.com.
- If you are unclear about the information each field requires, please contact your Payment Gateway for assistance.
- For all inquiries about failed charges through Payment Gateways, please contact your Payment Gateway directly.
- Though we would like to help, GunBroker Support is not authorized to assist with setting up Payment Gateways. If you are unclear about the information each field requires, please contact the Payment Gateway for assistance.
- For this same reason, GunBroker Support cannot offer support on issues surrounding Payment Gateways. For all inquiries about failed charges through the system, please contact the Payment Gateway directly.
- If you do not have an account with a Payment Gateway, you can still use Standard Checkout for managing orders. In this case, payment is handled directly between buyer and seller outside of GunBroker.com
