Email Notifications and Options

Policy overview:

GunBroker.com allows you to select the email communication you want to receive, with the exception of emails about buying/selling activity and substantial changes in policy or site operation.

We provide the following types of email communications:

1. Notifications related to buying/selling activity: these are not optional. However, if you do not bid or list items, and your account balance is zero, you will not receive these notifications.
2. Notifications to registered users about substantial changes in policy or site operation: these are infrequent and are not optional.
3. Optional Saved Search notifications to notify you when items that meet your search criteria are listed: you must specifically request we send you these notifications. You can stop receiving saved search notifications at any time.
4. Optional newsletters and promotional email messages: you must specifically request we send you these notifications, and you can opt out or change your preferences at any time.

Reason for policy:

We try to limit, as much as possible, the annoyance to our members of unwanted emails. Non-optional emails related to buying/selling activity protect our members by allowing them to confirm the activity is legitimate.
