I am guessing she has a interracial close friend or she came out and said she likes her best girlfriend. Was it the BMW that got her into trouble?

I'm just glad that my daughter is only nine.[:D]

LF: If she did something really bad, then take away her Beamer...that ought to straighten her out real fast.

She isn't pregnant....but her antics this time will give me three more wrinkles and the halo of grey hair is coming in strong. I think the majority of our problems are the "winners" she chooses to pick as friends.

I got it! She brought Sidney Poitier home for dinner!

Hot looking young girl crusing around in a yellow convertable Bimmer...I can't see how that could possibly lead to any sort of trouble. If she is not pregnant or in jail (or going to be put in jail) then the trouble can't be all that bad.

BR is right - She wants the control to ruin Christmas - don't give it to her. Our daughter is 22 now and between 14 and 19 I really had issues with her disrespect and bull headness (don't know where she got that). I and Mrs.Blue always refused to let her control and went on as just business as usual when she was acting out. Calm is better, I say this because we had a few yelling matches and they are very counter productive. Her and I get along pretty good now that she is older and we can talk like adults. I doesn't matter the situation - what matters is the rational response.

My best friend of nearly 50 years, and great parent, has a 31 year old Son who was just captured and returned to prison.

    He is handsome and smart.

    Just a criminal.

Some here already know of my sweetie pie and how aggrivating she can be. Anyone who ever thought parents somehow did a bad job raising their kids to have things go wrong.....doesn't know my family. She is loved, supervised, entertained, edjucated, fed, councelled, listened to and STILL I am shocked at the crap we deal with. I'm not going into the details....but I will say that this time its a BIG thing and it will ruin our entire family's Christmas.

I'll swap you a pig headed son for your aggrivating daughter. She can't be half as big of a pain as he is![V]

I was dating this Catholic girl for awhile, and she starts telling me she's all worried about her little sister (17 years old). I'm flipping through the channels, and I ask her what's wrong. I figure the sister has been rude to mom, or failed a biology test, or whatever. Well, my girlfriend tells me, after the football game she took a ride with four guys.

Yeah, I said, I'd be worried too.

I have two children, girl 19 and boy 15, both are good kids. I just got lucky. My sister in law has 4 the oldest boy and youngest girl are pretty much useless, the two middle kids are great, so i dont belive that it totally depends on how they are raised, because all of them were raised in the same house with the same parents and influances.

Spent this morning in court with my youngest. She picked up a citation for underage drinking. Charges were dismissed for first offenders program after 6 months of community service / probation. Good kid with very loose friends. She says they are all scared of me. Probably a good thing. Take deep breaths and wait to react until you have cooled off. At least that is what I need to tell myself rather often. Good luck. Rusty

Tough love if it isn't too late.
Some time ago, you brought this subject up and it didn't sound good then.
Maybe you need some professional counselling.

There's an old saying that grandchildren are the reward you get for letting your children live.

I'd put my money on a druggie boyfriend. Seen it many times. Often the girls don't actually do any drugs and often they don't realize or just choose to overlook that the BF is using or dealing. What they don't realize is that they WILL get caught up in the situation if the cops come knocking. Doesn't matter if they are participating or not. The daughter of my wifes friend is in this situation right now. She has not been pulled into it yet but it is just a matter of time and she is too blinded to see it comming.

Raised three girls. The youngest is now 31 and the oldest - 38. They
can still drive me to drink with their crazy actions/ideas. None of
them live at home but I still get daily/weekly dumps from them on
    what the other is doing.

Good luck. Try not to let her ruin your families Christmas. Is she alive? That's a great start. I'm sure there are a number of parents around that would love to trade places with you. Show her ECC's post..........Could always be worse. Maybe she'd like to share some of what she is "entitled to" with ECC's daughter........
Tough love. Boarding School? I have a 19 year old "perfect son" and a 16 year old daughter that has caused MANY gray hairs and more. I love them both the same. I'm sure you were the "perfect daughter" and never caused any grief for your parents....... It's not easy to be a good parent.
    Good luck and Merry Christmas,
    Ed

She hasn't gotten the car yet. I haven't taken her to even get her permit yet. She turned 16 Sunday. She will have to have her permit for 6 months before she can even try to get her license. I told her that with all the crap she is pulling right now I didn't want her on the road. Its parked in the barn and will stay there until we think she is ready. Even then I plan on having some pretty hard rules on driving for the first year at least.

She isn't in jail....or dating a person her grandfather wouldn't let live if she dated.....she is just out of control in general. We will be changing a large portion of her life. I think the only thing I will leave as it is may be the name we gave her at birth......everything else is up for a makeover.
