I know people here are good people and I know posting anything like this will lead to some ragging coming my way. I just don't understand her at all. She has so much and just doesn't understand what her choices and actions are doing to her future. Its not easy to have a teenager these days....at least not this one. I am only comforted by the fact that my younger two have ALWAYS been easier than she is. Maybe she will learn what she needs to before its too late.
Remember how we had this very discussion when she was getting the BMW?

No one said parenting was easy ... would have been nice if raising kids came with instructions. I wish I can say I am glad I have 2 boys instead of girls but they can be challenging too. I will leave the parenting advice since I do not know the full story but we'll keep you in my prayers.

On the driving issue, I offer you my eldest son's 10 commandments of driving.

    Good luck and God bless.

    LF,
Speaking as a person who taught and was an administrator of a large middle school, I can tell you that teenage girls are the worst.[:D]

However, Once you recognize that she knows everything, life will improve greatly.[:D]

Seriously though, If you stay on her, guide her and teach her the proper ways of behaving, and just be involved in her life, as it sounds you are. She will be just fine. It is going to be a long 10 years until you see that your guidance made a diffrence, but that day will come. Sometime when she is around 25 or so, she will thank you for all you did for her.

Oh by the way, the friend issue is very serious, stay on top of who she is hanging out with. PEER PRESSURE among teenagers is a very powerful force.

    Best of luck.

Girl I have 5 daughters! If you want to cry on someones shoulder and have them, (me) cry on yours send me an email with a phone number. I could probably tell you stories that would make you run and hug your daughter and tell her what a good girl she is. [:(]

You should have spanked them when they were young.[:D]
