Order of the Brethren of the Canary Asses,
This infrequent meeting is necessary to discuss the induction of two members;

I apologize if I missed counting a vote..attempting to pick thru this 'herd of catamounts' is tough. I watch particularly for negative comments...and there have been NONE directed at the new members. Solid Citizens..and I would be proud to drink a cup of coffee with any of them..or share a foxhole.
There has been a rash (several)of requests for induction into the Order of Canary Asses.
By popular acclaim, the offer was tendered to Pickenup;
Pickenup has graciously accepted the title of Honorary Member of the O.B.C.A
He has stood fast and advanced the cause of freedom for all of us.

Men charged by the spirit of dead warriors to uphold that which they fought and died for...FREEDOM !!
The numbers bother me;
For every man here is a leader in his own right. That, gentlemen, is the nature of an Individual. In his own AO, every man here will be the leader needed to being order out of chaos.
A leader firmly based in the Law of the Land..the Constitution.
Gentlemen, throw your votes in here to increase the membership of this rather exclusive group...Constitutional supporters and rugged Individuals ALL.

Speaking for myself, I am less interested in ruffled feathers then I am in the facts of these matters ..and the unending propaganda that spews forth from the centers of power. Both government and places like the NRA.

LOKO IMO is a stand up fellow. I am not totally sure where he stands on the constitution as written, as I have seen only a limited number of posts regaurding such.
I do though, feel in my gut he IS what we seek.
So, unless the brothers can find objection of him, I vote to induct LOKO.0 -

I have had the great honor and privilege to break bread with the one and only Highball. A higlight of my days, to be sure.
I also, unfortunately, just missed a dinner with TR Fox, due to some inconvenient circumstance on his part (job related, if I recall)
I will generally post if I am traveling (couple times a year usually) and see if any are interested in the breaking of bread and the enjoyment of a few adult beverages.0 -

You say we (or some of us anyway) call people names, when they don't belive what we do. This isn't about religion. It is about founding documents that are real, and written in black and white. OUR well being and future DEPEND on all of US.
How long do you think this road to stupidity is going to last, since diverting from the origanal contract? I am not claiming our founding documents perfect. I am claiming the disorder and chaos soon to happen is a direct result of the straying of said contract.0 -

This isn't about controlling people. Marc..that is what government does. We present facts and allow people to make their OWN DECISION about the level of government they wish and desire.

Not too familiar with the writing of LOKO or Paul, but if the others find no objection, I find it difficult to concieve that I would find a nit to pick for disqualification.
If possible, not to play DB Cooper and hijack the thread, I would like to know where my fellow canaries are geographically - even if just a state or region I'm curious as to how wide an area we can cover. If anyone is open to sharing, I think you can e-mail me through GB right? The only one I've ever tried to e-mail through here is Highball when I tried to post the pic of the Alligator Mouth Canary........ I'm considereing trying to have that made into a patch, if I can find a way to do it, I'd love to have some made and have everyones "number" placed on it........ haven't looked into it yet, just an idea I've had.0 -

Freemind, I hear the deer hunting is great in Indiana - been thinking about going for my one wall-hanger sometime in the not-too-distant future (gotta get the house finished before I go chasing bambis dad, but I want to get ONE trophy buck, and the big ones are rare - they usually get pasted before they're three years old around here).
Any recommendations ona place to go for one?

We have some good deer. Hoosier National forest may be your liking. Or private land, IF you can find any.

I hesitate to `conscript' anybody ..even the worthies mentioned. They may well have their own private reasons for declining..and placing them on the roster before they check in seems not to be the proper form, don't you know.
That was part of the orginal 'ask to join' reason.
Oklahoma 223 is another possible Candidate ..he is young, but a strong supporter of the freedoms we are all reaching for...
We are now getting to the edge of the members that I am firmly convinced share the views of the Order about the Second and the Constitution...perhaps we ought to put together a simple test that will reveal a prospective members stand on the issues ?0 -

I do not wish conscription be used, only that a possible invitation be issued. I waited to "invited" myself as I was away when all this started and felt somewhat of an outsider for some reason. It can't hurt to ask, and these I mentioned plus okie223 (I forgot him for some reason HB, sorry[B)]) are all very dserving of it. I for one considered it an honor, and no wonder when you look at this group. 0 -
