Order of the Brethren of the Canary Asses,
This infrequent meeting is necessary to discuss the induction of two members;

I apologize if I missed counting a vote..attempting to pick thru this 'herd of catamounts' is tough. I watch particularly for negative comments...and there have been NONE directed at the new members. Solid Citizens..and I would be proud to drink a cup of coffee with any of them..or share a foxhole.
There has been a rash (several)of requests for induction into the Order of Canary Asses.
By popular acclaim, the offer was tendered to Pickenup;
Pickenup has graciously accepted the title of Honorary Member of the O.B.C.A
He has stood fast and advanced the cause of freedom for all of us.

The numbers bother me;
For every man here is a leader in his own right. That, gentlemen, is the nature of an Individual. In his own AO, every man here will be the leader needed to being order out of chaos.
A leader firmly based in the Law of the Land..the Constitution.
Gentlemen, throw your votes in here to increase the membership of this rather exclusive group...Constitutional supporters and rugged Individuals ALL.

sorry but i cant help but chuckle sitting hear reading this. not that i dont applaud you all for banding together like this. but claiming your inclusion in this band of brothers on the internet is akin to claiming your the best fighter of all time. its all well and good untill your tested. ohh well. got a good chuckle out of it anyway. thanks for that. 0 -

As I have said before, even the wives of the founders would find todays American male to be a feminized disgrace. That and my Gypo Logger attitude. I don't debate those non believers, they get told once and if they don't get it I just comfort myself with the knowledge that one day they will see the light. I am much like you in the respect of time constraints and such.
We have several here that are far better orators for a forum board.
We can still spread the message in our personal actions, and interactions with other folks.

i think that were this in the real world this organization youve all started would be a fantastic move and i would applaud you all. but what ive seen written here and being on the net just sounds like people puffing their chests out and patting each other on the back. people on these forums believe what they believe and what you type here isnt gonna change that. i guess im just hopeing that you each are saying as much to people you know in person as you do here and spreading the good word. good luck. 0 -

Your statement that 'nobodies mind is changed by these forums' is false.
Even a cursory reading will reveal honest men admit that they made a mistake supporting gun control and government control for most of their lives.
They will admit publicly that THESE FORUMS directed them to the research that proved the facts as we present them, and opened their eyes.
Perhaps you, too, can benefit from a bit of reading in this forum.0 -

I am going to use the NRA as an example. Right here on this forum. (GB) Years ago, when someone was audacious enough to post something negative about the NRA, that person was immediately jumped on, and beaten to within an inch of his life. If there were 30 posts on the thread, 28 of them were calling for blood.
Skip forward in time. Another brazen member posts something negative about the NRA. This time, maybe half of the replies were calling for his blood. The other half AGREED with him. Some of those who are now agreeing, USED TO BE ones calling for blood.
They had an open mind, and after being presented with BOTH sides of the issue, not just the one side being spoof fed to them by the NRA, they did their own investigating and made an INFORMED decision.

After the NRA's ARROGANT support of the Veterans Disarmament Act, opposing almost EVERY OTHER gun rights organization, even some of the die hard NRA supporters couldn't help but to see the light. With this knife thrust firmly in the back of the veterans, some of them looked back at what had been "typed here" over the years, now add that to this "new" outrage, quit calling for blood from those willing to try to open the eyes of the unseeing.
I use this as an example that peoples beliefs CAN BE, and HAVE BEEN changed due to what is/has been "typed here" in this forum. I know it for FACT, because I used to be an NRA supporter. I didn't know better, but "I" learned.
Armed with only our keyboards (at this time) we must at least try to educate others. While small in numbers now, the numbers are growing. Let the closed minded call us "keyboard commandos" Unable to disprove, or debate the issues, name-calling is all they have left. The written (or spoken) word, is all we have to fight the war with (at this time) let's use them to our advantage. Maybe we can avoid using the "other" implements of war.0 -

I received an email request from LOKO383 about how to become a member of the Brethren.
I have done no research on his past positions, reference issues of individualism, here on GB, but he indicates that his heart is in the right and the constitutional place.
I felt obligated to forward his request for the review of the Brethren.
In my dealings with him on GB and via email, he has been a stand-up man.

You fleshed it out. Sometimes I forget that background helps FNGs' decide the right and wrong about an issue.
I can vouch for every word you say...as one of the early punching bags for every Tom, Dick and Hairy that loved the NRA.
I carry the scars yet today, from the vicious personal attacks that were launched at those of us daring to question the NRA.
Some of the most vile statements a man could hurl was thrown at us...yet NONE approached the retort;
YOU DO NOT SUPPORT THE CONSTITUTION if you support Gun Control.
Amazing how the Constitution served a shield against ALL the slings and arrows that the Collectivists threw at us...and STILL throw.
