I suspect the officer that was pouncing at least three times on his neck actually broke his neck.

Welcome to the New World.[V] He won't be the last on the "non-leathal" killing devices.

I heard dude pitched something against the glass wall and then got zapped.

After watching the video this guy didn't die from being tazed. He
died because the officer with his knee on his neck occluded the
blow flow to the brain. People being strangled convulse in a last
ditch attempt to get air. He didn't.
So...I guess the post about the "net" will pop up again. Still
think the perp deserved to get tazed, but not die.

I don't speak Russian, or Polish, and damn little Spanish. I give commands, directions, etc. in ENGLISH. If you don't get it, TOUGH! Go to where you understand the language.

So you're suggesting, people should stop flying via countries which languages they don't speak. Tourism should also be banned, according to your view of the world.

    Thanks for clarification.

Actually he was polish, not russian.
I think that the RCMP acted a little to quick, but there are a lot of questions to answer.
Why did it take so long for him to get thugh first the baggage area, and then immigration. He was on a direct flight from europe, so had to go through customs stc.
Second, why, when he was free to leave, did he go back into the secure area?
Thjere are a lot of questions here.

All irrelevant. They only question is why did police take 24 seconds to taser a guy who wasn't resisting and to kill him, asphyxiation or taser, who cares, the result is still the same. They didn't try to talk to him, to figure out anything, nobody at the airport tried to talk to him, in 10 hours they could have found someone speaking polish or reached a relative and so on.

Well, what you are saying is also irrelevant. You are just going on you prejudices.
You know, it would be better if you went with your second thoughts rather then your first prejudices. There is a lot more information to come out.

I guess to be politically correct we (police) will have to speak all languages of people who come here whether for business, pleasure or just passing through. BS! They come to our country at least they should understand enough english to function in the United States
    of America.
Seems bashing the police is a favorite pastime of some people.
Nothing is said of the lives and property saved though.
For those who haven't done it for a living, I say go do it and
then see if you have the same way of thinking.

    Mr. Rockawhatever,

If you think you can do a policeman's job better than by all
means, show us. Let's see how you can stand up to some crazed
crackhead with a weapon. Let's see you go into a dark building
after some perp. As far as me giving police a bad name, Pal you don't
know me or my accomplishments so don't judge me it shows your ignorance.

The fellow seemed to be suffering from panic or on the verge of hyperventilation. He seemed to be genuinely afraid of something or someone. Why else would he block the room off the way he was doing? Then the lady's attmepts to help seemed to set him off. Sad situation all the way around.

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

lets see the guys was in a INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT >>> INTERNATIONAL means people from all around the world , maybe just maybe they should have some one on hand that can speak several languages or at least enough to get by

i don't beleave he was in a dark building , he wasn't holding a weapon, matter of fact he had his hands in the air and his back to the the officer when they shot him , he wasn't drunk or high , he was pissed off for being held for over 10 hours and nobody helping him

most cops now days seem to think that they are better than the people they are supposed to be serving and yes i do mean just that, remember when it was to Protect and Serve

now it seem, opps he didn't do what we said to fast enough so just shoot his ass , so what if he dies , its either he didn't lay down fast enough or he didn't hold still while we beat on him or he wouldn't lay still while 5 or 6 cop sit on him cutting his air off , trying to put cuffs on , cops that says this kind of stuff is ok is part of why people are turning agaisnt cop,

i'm just a average joe citizen and i'm more afraid of cops any more than i am of any so called bad guy , i'm by far more likey to get shot by a cop than by a so called bad guy trying to rob me [xx(][:(!][V]

    Silly comment, IMNSHO.

Think about it. It isn't too hard to spot a blind person, and Helen Keller was blind. She was also deaf, and anytime I have encountered deaf people, they have indicated by sign that they cannot hear. I don't do sign, but if we then have to communicate, we do it by writing down what we want to say, in English.

What he died from is excited deliurium. Its similar to SIDS but for adults. Once a person gets so worked up their body is already breaking down and there are going to die anyway unless they get quick medical attention. He would have died even if police didnt get involved. Maybe be police should have gotten him warm milk and read him a bedtime story. Always great monday morning quaterbacking. If police didnt act it would have been why are they just letting him just act like that. Or if he attacked someone why did police wait so long. If they act right away its why didnt they just talk to him and give him a chance. Why didnt they call his mommy and have her talk him down.

People have died after being subdued by less-lethal methods such as the TASER or OC spray. Generally, the post-mortem examination will reveal that the death, though subsequent to the use of the less-lethal device, was due to other causes, usually drug use or heart failure.

The fat lady hasn't sung on this one yet, but it sure is nice to hear from all the experts who know what happened and how it will turn out.

    +1 Nunn
Media said the same thing about OC. Taser is the new thing for them to pick on. Just for general info Taser sends a current dirrupting how electronic signals are sent from your brain to your muscles. They dont FRY you internally.

Nunn what happen to protect and serve ? you think its ok for cops to kill folks then don't whine when it happens to one of yours , you wonder why you get no respect anymore , just look at what the boys in blue are doing ,,, you don't like the way people react to you then try cleaning up the way you treat people ,

if this had been some crack head on the street i probaly wouldn't be saying a dare thing because i do understand the things are a lot different out there but inside a international airport , is oatmeal plain and simple

WHO THE HELL SAID IT WAS OK TO KILL ANYONE????? Did you fail Reading Comprehension, or what?

I said sometimes people die after being subdued by less-lethal means, but that the cause of death is nearly NEVER the less-lethal means; it is usually a pre-existing condition, or something the suspect did to himself prior to being arrested.

Here's a scenario for you, to personalize it just a bit: You are out on an urban sidewalk with your wife, just leaving a restaurant, walking back to your car. A raving lunatic, probably on drugs, approaches, apparently angry, and focusing on you and your wife. As he draws near, you step in front of your wife, and stiff-arm this bozo to the ground. You keep walking, looking back over your shoulder to make sure he doesn't follow. He doesn't. He lies right there and dies of a cocaine overdose while you drive away.

YOU KILLED HIM!!!! Following your twisted logic, yes you did! You were the last person to put a hand on him and now he is dead! It MUST be your fault, RIGHT?

Right you are. It is also my fault that someone died on the highway behind my house the other day. I mean, after all, if I didn't live here, then I'd not have noticed that there was a car accident, and then wouldn't have cared to check it out to discover it was a fatality. So, if I wasn't here, there wouldn't be a fatality.
