Name Your Favorite Gun Shop
My business affords me the opportunity to travel around the United States and in my free time I like to visit local gun shops. Of course, the Yellow Pages are a good starting point, but advertisements are often deceptive. And while I don't mind hitting the local chain, i.e. Bass Pro or Cabela's, etc, I really enjoy visiting "mom and pop" operations. You just never know what jewels you're going to find. So, having said all that, I'd like to know what local gun shops are your favorites and why. Come on, sing the praises of your local gun store, include contact information and addresses, and give the travelers among us something to look forward to when we're in your neck of the woods.

Houston is home to an interesting chain (at least 4 locations in the city) of Gun shops under the name "Carter's Country". I still prefer Gun Shows or Academy (although the smaller Academy locations only carry long guns[:(]) . 0 -

The best ever is long gone now it was a little hole in the wall in Port Jervis ,NY guy had tons of stuff and if he liked you he'd tell you grab some beer and come over to his house,then he'd bring out his private collection0 -
The Firing Line in Aurora, CO...bought my first handgun there (Sigma .40) and paid less than $400 out the door with a box of ammo...they also have a great collection of AKs for sale, and I hope to buy one this month after I get my first couple paychecks from my new job
