Camaros,Mustangs, Javelins, Barracudas, Challengers are PONY cars, can't be Muscle Cars.

Muscle cars are Big Blocks in a mid-sized, 2 door body, made between 1964 and 1971 - this a formal, and defined, show category.

My favorite is the 1966 Ford Fairlane 4 speed, 427/425 Horsepower side-oiler.

Next up for me would be a '69 Dodge Charger 426 HEMI/425 horsepower...

Wow, so many GTO guys here. Mine was a 66 GTO Tri Power, 4 speed, Hedman Headers and 3/4 street cam. Could burn the tires down to the rims. Got very few mpg but back then gas was cheaper than water. Wish I had that one back.

While not really a muscle car, perhaps the only American made car I'd ever want to own would be a 1963 Corvette coupe with Rochester fuel injection. My Dad's old boss had one of these split-window beauties (although not a "fuelie") and as a young boy of 8 I thought that it was the greatest car ever built.

Back in the 70's as teenagers in Pacific Beach, CA we use to run around in a primered 1965 389 2 speed tripowered GTO, that old smoker would smoke the tires below 20mph and snap your head over the rests when dropping it into 1st gear at 55 mph. But my favorite was a 1969 Hurst Olds 442 a friend of mines Father had in highschool, that car was scary!

The 1985 and 1986 Omni GLHs were available with either the 110-bhp high-output engine or a 146-bhp turbo 2.2-liter engine, which created a power rocket waiting to fly off the road. Alloy wheels, unique tape decor and ground effects rounded out the package.I had the 146 turbo engine in mine and it did scoot, but it was the ugliest sleeper on the road.[:D][:D]

Select-fire, I think you beat everybody. I can't think of any "muscle car" that's better, since Porsche and Ferrari don't qualify as muscle cars, 'vette is the best.
