I like the E-van, tubular chassis with the set back and huge meats! I love the shaved door hdls. I bet that thing is nuts on the line. Wheelebars?
Love the old Dodge! it has that nice sleeper look! the steel wheels rock!

460 Ford in a 77 F150. 1.4 60 ft and 12.69/ 101 mph need more cam/ carb. but it still pulls a trailer fairly well. paint is next.
69 Ford XL with the 390 she is a great road triper.
This is my current project. Dodge Dakota with 3" 5" drop, door hdls and gas door have been shaved. its getting a crate 360 Magnum Hp390 w/ 420FT lbs torque. backed with a 727Auto. It will be on the bottle and rolling on 20's in the front and 22's in the rear. the hardest part so far has been spraying the paint. The pearl white has been tough to keep even. the hood, bumper and taillights are next.
Its nice to see you guy working on cars. I like gun's but I LOVE the cars and working in the shop.0 -

I had a '65 Galaxy 500 - not an XL - two door hardtop, 390/401 horse, 4 speed.
The 401 Horsepower was a dealer installed option, with three Holly two barrels, hotter cam, and I think, electronic ignition.
It was metallic forest green, with a black vinyl top. Looked like Granny's car. I used to play NASCAR driver with it. For a big hulk, it would give 409s a pretty good run, and some 426 wedges.
Miss it.

My favorite muscle car would have to be a 1967 Mustang fastback. It was my first car and only had a stock 289 in her. It was in my family for years and by the time I got her she had well over 230,000 miles on her. My brother and I did wind up putting together another 289 only this time we went all out.started with abare block board 30 over,align boared ,turned the crank, all new Trw. parts ,high compression pistons,high rise aluminum intake manifold with a Holly 850 duel feed double pumper 4 barrel carb. exhausting through 4 inch Hooker headers with duel pipes out the rear. Boy she sounded sweet! Unfortunitly it was stolen in may 1992. In fact it was on mothers day.I havent seen it since, However 10 years later I was contacted by the police in referance to the car. Apparently a police officer bought the car hot, shortly after it was stolen without a title and kept it for 10 years long enough for the NCIC records to purge from the police computers. Then sold the car to a guy down in Delaware without a title. I am now told by the police that even though they know ware the car was and who had it and ware it is now, they cant prosicute anybody for theft because the statue of limitations has ran out. And that I should seek restitution in a civil court of law. Yea thats easy for them to say! Has anybody priced a lawyer lately? I know I cant afford one!!! And Its virtually impossable to comply with all the rules and regulations when trying to reprosent yourself. They make it so you need a lawyer to navigate our complex court system! This topic always brings out those who think they know what a muscle car is so they feel the need to share their opinions with us. The term muscle car is like and arbitrary name of distinction such as "Assault Rifle". It actually can't be pinned down to any particular ride. If it has four wheels and can out muscle the other vehicle lined up beside it, then go ahead and call the darn thing a muscle car. The phrase was not coined by Detroit, it came from articles written about fast cars, and it was first used when talking about large fast cars such as the old GTO's. No where was it ever said that it couldn't be used for Vetes, Mustangs, or Cobra's. The term Pony car was a Detroit term, and it was first used by Ford to identify their line of cars. Depending on the package even a Pinto or a Maverick could have been called a Pony car. No one car holds the right to this phrase, and anyone saying different is just trying to sound smart about something they most likely know very little about. Stir, stir, stir...[;)]
But, with that being said my favorite would be any large body Ford with a single overhead Cam (SOHC) 427 V8 engine, familiarly known as the Cammer. The 427 SOHC was developed by Ford Motor Company in 1964 to recapture NASCAR dominance from the Chrysler Hemi engine. Chrysler bitched so much that NASCAR wouldn't let the cammer cars run on their tracks. Very few made their way to the show room, but those that did were true muscle. I wish I had one in a 1965 Thunderbird.
