Cubs, I'm not for sure but is that one of those shotguns that had the unsafe bolt and you could return the bolt for $60. I believe it's M.Wards.

This is the 16ga. It is not recalled. It's a Clay killer!

It was given to me by my wife's grandfather. I'd rather keep it together then sell the bolt.

After the Daisey Red Ryder, I bought a Mossberg .22 bolt action, tube feed in 1957. Cost me around $25, best I remember. Still have it - it's a tack driver.

Technically it would be the old Sheriden 22 pellet gun i got when I was a kid. First adult firearm was a Remington 870 Express Magnum.

Grew up with BB guns from 5 on. The first gun that was given to me was a single shot Sears 20 ga. The first rifle I owned was a Winchester 190 .22 I received as a gift for 8th grade graduation.

The first gun I ever earned the money and bought was an Ithaca 37 12 Ga.

Guess you heard of the recall then. I don't blame you. Sometimes it's more important to keep a keepsake together. You just have to be careful with them though, if they are on the list for recall.

Rossi .22 pump stainless. That's the first one my dad let me keep in my room as my own when I was about 12.

Cubs-I have had a couple like yours. I even bought one for $6 without a bolt years ago and then hit the gun shows until I found a bolt. Finally found the bolt and paid about $10 for it. Then I had to pay a gunsmith to make an extractor for the bolt. In the meantime, I refinished the stock. I eventually sold it but sometimes wish I hadn't.

They are a kind of neat old gun more common in the past. Yours looks in great shape.
