Just curious. I test turbine engines for a living. It is interesting and challenging. Side line buying and selling guns and accessories at gunshows.[:)][?]

Not the most interesting job, but I don't mind it I guess. I work in a warehouse filling orders for cases and/or bottles of alcohol. We ship wine and hard liquor to small gas stations, liquor stores, and retail stores(like Wal-Mart, Target, etc.) in our area. I like driving around on "my" stand-up forklift. I guess that is the part of my job I enjoy.

Company Training NCO for a bunch of the boys in green ... sorry, no, ACU (what a fine flop of a uniform).
Anyway, yes it is an interesting job. The hours are crazy, but I love it. To me, training/ops is the bread and butter of unit readiness. Too many units lie to themselves about what they are ready to go down range and do. May it never be so with my boys.0 -
I do Direct Support Maintenance on Army ground weapons and systems. It's always amazing how our men and women in green find new ways to break them. The best part is I still get to use the experience and knowledge I gained during my Army career.
Exciting.....no. But it is rewarding.

I worked for the U.S FOREST SERVICE,..as a timber sale admin./forester/tech/supervisor/firefighter/equipment operator/etc..now I am retired for health reasons..not by choice,I loved my jobs and being in the mountains and woods daily,.forty miles from nowhere,..I really miss it,alot of comradierie [sp] from the guys and girls on wildland fires out west and eastern forests also, had lots of great experinces from flying in helicopters to walking/hiking around 1200 miles a year on our trail systems,...yes I do miss it..[V].....Loko 0 -

hey there fellow vac truck ?fan? and water blaster fixer...its not a job for everyone, but i actually enjoy the work...we are expected to do our own repairs unless its something real major...i only intended to do the work with `em for a short time, but it got into my blood or something, as i said the only down side is being away from the family for long periods sometimes...glad to hear from you. 0 -

the company i`m with uses tv trucks as well, but i`ve only ever helped out, and not very often...i really do enjoy my work...but its a workers right to complain about it(especially if my boss ever reads this)[:)]its good honest work where no-one ever tells you you earn your money the easy way, plus i work with the best bunvh of people i`ve ever had the pleasure to work with.it makes a big difference...merry christmas to you and your family gary..and i see you live in sunny florida..at least those ice storms would have left you all alone. 0 -
I sit at a desk in the basement of a hospital building and watch up to 32 heartbeats at once. I take measurements and hopefully am able to warn nurses and other health care professionals of impending cardiac problems before the become life threatening medical emergencies. 0 -

Hi lt496 if your a straight shooter and realy do command a criminal investigation unit. I would realy appreciate you checking out a post I started in General Forums titled ( what good are the statuet of limitations anyway?) You might find it interesting and any input you could add would be great. I calibrate gyros used in the oilfield. Basically I sit at a desk all night and hit buttons once every 30 min to 2 hours.
I used to work commercial fishing in Oregon on dory boats. Started when I was 12. After that I moved to Alaska and worked up there commercial fishing then later as a fishing guide. Drove the 49 foot Uniflight and put them onto the fish along with oatmealing with them.
After that I worked as a welder making railcars then barges back in Oregon.
Then I moved to Texas and worked offshore on oilrigs. Used to be really rough work but had a ton of fun doing it. I love the oilfield it's been my saviour since I didn't finnish even high school.0 -

I worked for a fast food chain for 30 years had as many as 400 employees and tons of stress. Now I work for my wife at our Bed and Breakfast during the winter. She is a good boss the biggest problem is getting her to pay me on a timely basis. The fringe benfits make up for the pay structure U know what I mean. I do get to fish and hunt as much as I want. During the summer months for the past 4 years I have worked at and now manage a speedway (Dirt Track) so there I go again putting myself in the stress situtation. I really love dirt track racing however managing a track has put a new spin on things. I hope to re-retire in the next 5 years and sell out. I want to move to the country where the Hoot Owls mate with the Turkey Buzzards. I want to spend time improving food plots and our deer and gobbler numbers down on the farm. I think the ideal job for me will be somewhat of a wanderer. I hope to do the following.
January: Not to much happening except the Chili Bowl in Tulsa then winter time fishing here at the lake.
Feb and March: Winter fishing and some southern state racing.
April: Spring Turkey season and more racing. Oh did I forget fishing?
May: Fishing and Racing
June-July- August: Night time fishing or dirt track racing.Oh I might have to go to Canada for a couple of weeks for a little Musky fishing nothing like catching those toothy critters.
Sept. Still some racing and good fishing the last half of the month.
Just might have to get the squirel gun out and keep the barrel hot.
I am sure there will be a race to attend somewhere.
Oct: Fall turkey season I think I will take up bow hunting again. By then they will have bows that shoot themself and I will be able to hit somthing. Oh yes fishing and more fishing.
Nov and Dec: Deer season and late fall and winter fishing.
I need to look for a good goose hunting spot as my decoys are just gathering dust in the top of my garage. This will help fill in my Dec and Jan slack time. All of this will be subject to change when I become a Grandpa if that ever happens. Hint son if you happen to read this!!!!!
My wife just read this and said that I have life all planned out. She also added whats new "this is already your life". Damn it is a big job I guess but someone has to do it.0 -

I used too... even got to meet The President once, but now I work for a large corporation (part-time) driving robots. My job is pretty easy and can be boring at times. One of my co-workers got to go undercover to infiltrate homeland security a couple years ago, I bet that was pretty interesting.
back in the day when I did freelance work, I helped shoot some rap-music videos... of course the rapper ended up in jail for ten years so I never did get paid...

He Dog, Spelt is a grain used just like wheat, but people who are wheat intolerant can eat it. I can't remember what's in wheat that some people are allergic to, it was a long night, short handed! Anyhow, when we mill spelt into flour, we must be careful and not even allow flour dust to infiltrate the spelt.
