Last time I was terminated, they used Fed-Ex to drop the bad news.

In the past, when I have been confronted by that exact situation, with the same suspicions that you had, upon entering the room, I have immediately shot and killed the terminating employee, thus adding emphasis to the company's term "termination".

In each case I was praised by company management, and tasked to dispose of the trash.

It is the only rational approach when one is confronted with a situation that one suspects may lead to possible violence.

I have also used this technique when confronted with challenging interpersonal relationships outside the workplace.

    It certainly simplifies one's life.

You did post this with your own private PC and don't read or reply to this at work.... Right? So let me get this down to the a abberviated version.

YOU: "We fired a guy who brought this upon himself because he constantly violated our VERY liberal attendance policy over the last 11 months..**snicker snicker** I was there in case it became violent I'm kind of little..... oh but I do carry and its a violation of company policy but I dont care."

How is that guy any differnt from yourself as far as violating company policy and how long have you been doing this? Is your company "no firearms" policy liberal or lax as well?

Might wanna look into a good areosol projector or a personal air taser for at work and leave the piece in the car while workin. Try findin a more firearm friendly job, I don't know if you realize what has taken place here[xx(][xx(]

I worked a wheat harvest in the not so good part of Fort Worth one summer. We worked midnights and it was a bad gang neighborhood

It was comforting to know 95% of the truck drivers had a gun, inspite of the companies policy. I was also glad to get moved from the pits to the scales at the top of the elevator.
