Ok the other post got me flowin... How about some automotive trivia to test me? Because of my queerness for all things automotive, I've amassed a Cliff Clavinesque knowledge of all things automotive....so bring it on....


Now, let's not get into part numbers for the AIS motor on a 92 chrysler 3.8, but real 'My cousin vinnie stuff'. keep it in american cars, Drag racing, muscle cars and equipment, stock cars, hot rodding etc.....can ya top me? (without google?)

    OK chief...I have no intention or expectation of asking a good question, but I do have a semi automotive questiion.

    I have a bunch of old gas, mixed at various ratios for various equipment. Chainsaws, outboards, ect.

    can I use this up in my car? Straight? Diluted? Lawn Mower? Diesel Tractor?

    I know it's stupid, but it is 10-15 gallons of gas and that constitutes a house payment.

    It only takes a teaspoon of SOUR gas to turn the rest of the gas sour. So, if you have bad gas and mix it with good gas, you will end up with ALL bad gas.

    Very wrong - the first Ford auto was in 1952, and was not the FMX - it was the 3 speed Ford-O-Matic.

    Nope, and Buddy Baker did a 220 mph pass at the chrysler proving ground track in a 'bird, but didn't count as it wasn't a 'recognized competition track....one for you...what were those little humps of the fron fenders of the superbirds/charger daytonas?

    What off road use was the Ford 60 hp aluminum V8 engine put to? 145 Hydro single seat hydroplane race boats. I had one - but the Ford V8-60 was all iron in stock configuration.

    This was supposed to be about American Iron...

    That said, the Coventry Climax was designed to be a Fire Pump motor.

    Best Driver Ever is/was Sir Stirling Moss, Privateer, who took two year old castoffs from first line Formula One teams, and (When they kept running) beat the "best drivers of the time" with the old stuff.

    He once drove a car with a front tie rod off, at racing speed, through the Alps.
