Your level of formal education...

Rack Ops
I'm just wondering how much formal education our forum members have....

So what's the highest level of education you've completed or are currently working on?

GED?
High School?
Associate Degree?
Bachelor's degree?
Master's?
Ph.D?
You get the idea....

Trade schools and vo-tech apply as well....


Since I asked the question, its only fair for me to go first.

My highest level thus far is an Associate Degree in Science. Right now I'm in my senior year for my Bachelor's in Geography

    My whole family, out of Boothbay Harbor, were fisherman and lobsterman. Rough life if you're not good at it.

    Don't feel bad. I'm over-educated and under-employed. I work in a field unrelated to my degree and I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do with my life. I better figure it out soon because I'm getting too durn old to switch careers

    I completed high school, but I paid attention. Went to college for one whole semester. Paid attention there, too.

    I was married to a teacher with a degree from some college in Oklahoma that took her 5 years to complete.

    I was amazed at what all she didn't know, and had to have me explain to her.

    I reckoned that a Texas high school education beats an Oklahoma college education.

    Just graduated in May with an A.A.S. in Manufacturing and Industrial technology, took two schools and 4 years to do it. I am much more mature now, when I go back to finish my BS I will do it the correct way. I have been working full time the last two years while completing my degree.

    N.I.C.E.T. Level 3 in inspection and testing of water baised sys.


    I hold so many factory training certs and certs of compleation I dont remember them all.From time to time, I go to oaklahoma state u for there fire systems training courses to get the continuing education units for my N.I.C.E.T. Certification.

    I am currently pursueing N.I.C.E.T. Cert. level 3 in fire alarms and special hazzards(currently lvl 1 in both)

    Ive been paying taxes since I was 10(Ill be 38 in august)and have had 2 jobs in my life.Unless you count the time I mowed grass for a day then quit without picking up my pay check.

    All that and I STILL CANT FIND ANY %^%##)&%%$##@!! COPIES OF THE MARCH AND MAY SHOTGUN NEWS[:(!]!!!!

    Any attempt at "Formal" education ended when I showed up!

    Marine Engineer B.S.

    Went to Law School for two years, then chucked it, and went to Sea.

    Retired @ 51. Now I am Sooo Unnecessary!

    Certs out the ying-yang -
    Welder, Race Car Driver SCCA/NHRA, Ham Radio Operator (KD6RGZ),Scuba certs from NAUI and PADI, Pilot, USCG Chief Eng'r Vessels under 100 DWT, Second Asst Engr Steam and Diesel, any tonnage any Oceans, Lifeboatman, USN Reserve LT, (MMI), and on and on...they all make great paper for the bathroom walls!

    I guess that puts you on the same playing field as most that have a Doctorate. Maybe a skoch above. [;)]

    I have zero problem with anger management. Mostly I just laugh at the sad and pathetic attempts made to discredit me. Even when it was necessary to beat the crap out of somebody I always did it with a cool and collected demeanor. Anybody who can't control his anger could never pull moderator duty. Too much pain on a daily basis.

    It's no longer relevant! We raised a daughter (only child) who's a college graduate, self sufficient, and a contributing member of society (registered nurse). I spent time in the Navy and many years in the defense electronics industry (all with the same company) and retired early. So, from my point of view, what ever level of education I had, or lack thereof, it served me well (thanks mom). My next milestone, which requires no education at all, is drawing early social security.[:D]

    In twenty-five plus years of attending classes at various institutions and graduating from those several academies with a bevy of diplomas, degrees, certifications, etc., I never ONCE wore a tuxedo on any day for any class. So I'm not sure what I got was a formal education. Heck, I never even went to prom. [:p]

    Ramtin= that's because a Tuxedo is actually only "semi-formal", commonly referred to as "black tie". Formal is jacket with tails, white tie. Now you have been formally educated.[;)]
