I'm just wondering how much formal education our forum members have....
So what's the highest level of education you've completed or are currently working on?
GED?
High School?
Associate Degree?
Bachelor's degree?
Master's?
Ph.D?
You get the idea....
Trade schools and vo-tech apply as well....
Since I asked the question, its only fair for me to go first.
My highest level thus far is an Associate Degree in Science. Right now I'm in my senior year for my Bachelor's in Geography

Associate Science in Aircraft Maintenance. 6 years of college. Go figure. 0 -
GED. Not sure if it was a school or not, but I took a class for welding from a company I worked for so I could weld. 0 -
I had to take about nine months off from school but will restart again in August. (the time off has been nice but it really feels like a long time off). Anyway should finish up my Master of Aerospace science with a specialty in aviation safety engineering hopefully by next summer. I will more than likely get an MBA or a PHD at some point, after that.
I would like to mention in many situations a formal education doesn't mean a hell of a lot. If you wanted to chart it accross the United States roughly less than 5% of the U.S. has a Graduate degree or higher, roughly 25% of the U.S. has a Bachelors degree, roughly 50% have some "formal" education, and the rest of the U.S. population (vast majority still has no formal education. The only interesting thing about that to me is that unemployment levels do very closely correlate with education levels in the U.S. That is to say that the higher level of formal education achieved the more likely one is to be employed ****I did not say more likely to make x amount of dollars****

High School Grad. Trade school in Heating & Air. They had the course set up so that you missed an AD by a couple of hours. Have since taken a course for maint. on MotoMan robots and also a couple of courses on Lean Management. With the ECU's from those 3, I am probaly at an A.D. 0 -
1 year kindergarten
5 years elementary school
3 years junior high
3 years high school
7 years college
no degree unfortunately. the college i attended didn't offer a degree in my area of study, but it did allow for a cross section of disciplines to be spliced together in the form of a bachelors degree call "Interstudies Bachelors". i lack 12 credits to have oral communications, theatre and art.0 -

As an aside, both my wife's parents are college grads as are all four of her grandparents. Looks like an extended family of professional students!

Dropped out of high school! Later got my GED by walking in and takeing the test.
Took 2 years of college and dropped 2 classes (1 english class and 1 math class) short of an AA degree in Computer Engineering.
I have been a truck driveing instructor and trainer.

In ten weeks, I'll have my MBA (Masters) in Marketing... and if I can keep it up, I'll be graduating with a 4.0 GPA.
In 1990, I earned my Bachelor's in English from the University of Wisconsin. No 4.0 there, but I wasn't quite as mature as I am now. Plus, I wasn't paying for it then... so I didn't have quite the investment.
Sort of like how those in Section 8 housing never seem to have nice homes -- because they don't pay for them.0 -
