I've got a couple, and been thinking about getting a new one. What's everybody else got?

Biker tattoos from a bygone era....the only one I have sentimental to me is a "RIP" tattoo for my German Sheperd dog that passed away three years ago.
I will suggest NO tats on your hands or neck or face. These definately come back to haunt you later in life.
My brother-in-law has both arms sleeved. He now works as a janitor in a grade school and has to wear long sleeve shirts and keep his arms covered even in the hottest of days. School policy.0 -

There is a stereotype for a person with tatoos - Less intelligent, irresponsible, unskilled, and not professional. You won't get the promotions you deserve, or the respect. It's not fair but that's the way it is. Don't get tatooed. Women with tatoos have even more negative thoughts about them regarding moral character. Tatooed folks are seen as common labor only. Getting a quality position in business with tatoos all over is impossible. Do not deface your body. 0 -

It is very small and on her right thigh. She designed it herself and had it done a long time ago. I remember when she first got it and showed it to me. I fussed at her then, but I have gotten accustomed to it and hardly notice it.

I despise tattoos! they make a person look so low class and trashy
you cant even go to the dam grocery store to pick up a few groceries these days without seeing somebody flashing their ugly tattoos in your face, everybody has tats, Ive seen whole families with tats, it really looks ridiculous
what really looks dumb is when a person gets covered in some type of Polynesian Pacific islander tribal tats, and they are not even from that ethnic group! or tribe, it just makes them look like a poser.
I see so many people covered in tats that it just disgusts me, especially all the young ladies getting covered with tats [xx(]
tatoos = instant second class citizen
and they are defacing the body, Im not religious, but in the bible it does say something about you must not mark the body

..Just one, and I was over 40 when I got it. It's something you have to think hard about. Ask yourself the question: In 30 years, will I look down and say "WTH was I THINKING?" That's what I think when I see tats of Bart Simpson and such. I won't ever be embarrassed of mine, and it's not visible with a T-shirt on.

I do believe there is a sterotype. There are sterotypes for each and every trait/characteristic known to man.
I don't agree with them or believe in them myself, but it is something that is very common throughout any society.
I personally have no tatoo's. I'd like to have an armband across my bicep, but probably won't.0 -
Have two, neither can be seen even with a short sleeve shirt on. Both on my right arm longhorn scull with indian feathers and the under part of my arm I have a 4 leaf clover with my last name in it. Got this in college so I wouldn;t forget my last name. Have not gotten any more since I was about 22...I'm 30 now. 0 -

That stereotype does indeed exist. If you think not, apply for an executive job with a spider web tattooed on your cheek. It may not be right, but with many folks it is very real.
Tats come and go fashion wise. Some years ago a shrink told me one indicates you got drunk. two suggests you have a drinking problem, three or more indicates a personality disorder or psychosis. It would be interesting to see if he said the same today when they are fashionable among the young.0 -

You missed the point sterotype doesn't mean its true and NO question that theri IS a stereotype about tattos. We will not hire you if you have any visible.

Ok my bad, maybe the sterotype does exist but for someone to say it makes you an instant second class citizen is BS. And I did quote the wrong person, my appoligies to mbsams.
I've never had a problem with a job. Course I have only had 2. I'm not a job hopper.
And Girls with tats are Hot! The take on Tats are a personal opinion I guess. I like them.0
