[8D]--While you were at the Sherif's office, you should have Had "HER" charged with "Statutory Rape"--
-Your son is a MINOR in any state--

What a mess. I'd tell her the truth. Not like it is your fault. You are suffering because of the choices that other people made. 0 -
Wow that is a huge mess. Hope everything turns out ok Sharpshooter.
On a side note I've never understood why young guys tell about older women? I sure wouldn't of when I was younger.0 -
Have you asked your son about it yet? or the lady down the road? It sounds like all you/they have is a ex husband making accusations, it's not like someone like that might make trouble for his ex, after all, why did he get involved?

I never told.
However, it still got out, somehow.

Why involve the twins? Don0 -
Holy Crap! Good luck explaining to the wife. 0 -
just trying to help, if you had a lawyer he would probably advise you to keep your lips zipped until after it's all said and done in court. sounds like it's headed that way. 0 -

First, you didn't do anything to bring this on. Your boy's hormones are kicking in, it's just that age. I agree that you simply need to sit your wife down and calmly explain to her that you just found out and how you were informed about it. She'll be understanding with you. Pissed, but she'll handle it in her own way. However, your son will likely feel the wrath of his upset mother. That's something that he will have to deal with if he feels grown up enough for sex. [;)]
Hence, Why im not being stuid. Im 14, but i havent really even THOUGHT about that. Sorry, my guns come first [:D]0 -
Religion aside...
She's 28 and lonely. He's 15 and has more hormones flowing then is safe for a body. In a way I can't blame either of them, and in a way it's both their fault.
You could say that she's old enough to know better. It's true, but your son knows better too. He's just as responsible as anyone for the visit you got tonight.
She raped him? I don't think so. That's just not fair as we both know that under different circumstances a "relationship" such as this would get by with a wink. Absolutely immoral... But inside you sort of envy the kid don't you?
So... If it were I, I'd have a long serious talk with my youngster. He needs to understand what kind of position he placed you in because his big brain was too fogged to think. He'd be under house arrest for the time being. Maybe for a long time being.
I'd also have a talk with the "woman". Not mean, not loud, and no blame... Just a polite conversation where you explain the same things to her that you explained to your son.
I'd end the conversation by sharing that any further contact between the two of them will result in your having to file charges... Not because you're being vindictive, not because you're mean, but because it's your duty as a parent to see that this kind of behavior cannot and will not be tolerated.
Not because of the sex really, not because it's immoral (though it is), but because this is the type of behavior that leads to nothing but a bad outcome for a lot of innocent folks. You and your wife included. The preacher, his son and his family, too! All because two careless people couldn't keep their pants on. And your son was one of the two!
What a mess. I'm really sorry.0 -
Really good advice Nord that sounds like a great way to handle it. 0 -

There is a whole lot more in the way of dynamics going on here than just your son's hormones. What would you have done at his age? Anyhow, in my state this is statutory rape and your son s a minor here.
Of course there is the power mad preacher who thinks he is entitled to place your son at fault, his entitled son who seems to think that violence is the answer for the fact that you legally bounced his dad off your property, the association between the power mad preacher and the power mad rotten cop who shouldn't ever be alowed to carry a firearm again even after he has paid his debt to society for the felony(s) he committed and the fact that law enforcement has evolved to be very attractive to little weenies who cannot assert themselves without a badge and weapon.
I hope the cop does some hard time with Bubba, after all, what's good for the goose and all. Sadly he probably won't face much in the way of disciplinary action and this will only serve as an education to refine his skills at hiding behind a badge and throwing the weight given him by your municipality around.
I'd write it off to "boys will be boys." It isn't your son's fault. Mrs. hottie should face criminal charges and a long talk w/ the boy wouldn't hurt. Kids take their lead from adults, and she is an adult.
The whole situation has been blown out of proportion by the egotistical players you mentioned. You may well have to enforce disciplinary action as recommended by your spouse but a wink in his direction and a dozen safes might make it easier on you both.
As for the city cop, I would press for the max and especially termination with extreme predjudice. This jerk doesn't deserve to be the minimum wage night watchboy at the local junkyard.
No, Nunn, this isn't a case of a tough guy cop pouring someone's beer out.0 -
Who blew the whistle, The ex husband?
This story goes from bad to worse.
You cant put the arrow back in the quiver.
Had you made peace with the pastor, he might have put this thing to bed without the law getting involved. The cuckolded ex husband went to the minister and not the law.
He's apparently the leavee and still interested.
I hope for the woman's sake it can't be proven she contributed to the
delinquency of a minor.0 -
I say the gripe should burn in the preacher's he77 0 -
shheeeiit, when I was 15 tapping a 28 y.o. would be the equivilant of winning the lottery!![:p]
was she at least good looking??[:0][:D]0 -
Man, this is a tough one. Hormones trump common sense 9 times out of ten. In my humble opinion, you have two completely different problems. #1: your 15 year old son and a 28 year old woman. I don't have much advise to give ya. I'd let everybody calm down and let cooler heads prevail.
#2: The preacher, his son, and the city cop all sound way out of line. What the heck kind of church is it. Doesn't sound very Christian to me. I'd take action on that front first. Do whatever you can do legally to end this in a civil manner so that you come out on top. Somebody needs to do something about these people. Preachers should not be sending there kids out to assault people and LEO's that belong to that church should not be enforcing their kind of law.0 -
my son did not tell and yes it was going on , the ex-husband was watching the girl and caught them kissing,he and his pastor believe that no matter the law/divorce that in the eyes of the church they are still married, wife knows, son is grounded until futher notice ,city marshal called, city cop offered to resign if I would drop charges,I did,so thats done I hope,,I dont know what the DA will do,I am going to talk to the girl in the morning, she knows wife wants to kill her, what a mess..... 0 -
I'm confused. What's the problem? Where were these women when I was 12, 13, 14, 15...? Have things like this been going on forever and just now coming to light? I feel slighted. 0 -
Wow! What a story... 0 -
Just a thought... I think you need to be CERTAIN that it happened.
I feel for y'all.

So the ex-husband was stalking her? I'd nail the preacher, cop, and ex-husband first. Personally I wouldn't nail the women since your son knows exactly what he was doing and the women wasn't "taking advantage" of him really. He was old enough to know better. I'd focus on my son in regards to that situation personally.0 -
Prayers sent. Heck of a way to celebrate Easter. I feel for ya. 0 -
I'm glad things have gotten a little better in the past hour.
Good luck!0 -
Hope he used a little *ahem* common sense protection wise.
Other than that he is 15 your wife will probably understand your son let his lower brain do the thinking.0 -
Man oh man oh man, when it rains
it pours!
Good luck0 -
Sounds like the preacher, his kid,and the city cop were all hot for the gal as well. With regard to the dropped charges, you gotta live there so IMO it was a great peace keeping gesture on your part.I gotta hand it to ya sir,You have a cooler head than I and a lot of folks I know.I'm sure you married the same caliber of woman. My hat's off to you and yours.ST 0 -
