Names you'd never name your child
Let's hear some. Male or female, doesn't matter. What are some names that you'll never EVER name a kid?

Do not give a child a name they will wind up having to spell for others for the rest of their life! It gets old really fast. John or William, not Jawne or Wilyem. Nobody gives out awards for creativity in naming your kids. 0 -

i go by Chris of course. in every class i have ever attended, there were always 5 or more of us.
the etemology(sp?) of my my nickname is from the novel, turned play, turned movie, by Alexandre Dumas... The Three Musketeers. Athos, Porthos, and Aramis. In the play, i was Aramis. in the movie, it was Charlie Sheen. yes i am trained to use a sword. at one time i was in 20+ plays, directed 2, produced 1, and did alot of tech work, make up and design. miss that stuff alot.
sorry if i hurt your feelings doug. i have a couple buddies with that name and they are all good guys. you've proven to be the same.
and as for bad names, there was a clinic back near my hometown. a woman brought her 2 little girls in to see the doctor. she wrote down their names as Gonorea (pro: gen ora) and Syphilis (pro seh philis) she told the nurse, my friend kathy, that she found the names in a dictionary and thought they were pretty.0 -
Whisper Dawn. I know a girl who named her daughter that. I told the little girl's mother that at least she wouldn't have to come up with a stage name when she started stripping. 0 -

Mrs. Plaid thinks "Matea" is a good girls name.
I think it sounds "too ethnic". That's code for "it sounds black". She says it is Hebrew. Haven't found a good Norwegian girl's name.0 -

Here are some names for Norse goddesses, which might work for your Norwegian Girl. I kinda like Astrild, Freyja (Frey Ah), Saga, Verdandi and Vor.
I think you are right about "Matea". I usually like Hebrew names, but this one isn't particularly appealing to me.
