...It seems that everyone wants a totally unique (weird) name, or the overused name of the year that every third kid born is getting. Jason, Mathew, Brittany, Carly, Jennifer, etc. are all good names, but are being overused to the point where a teacher calls on Brandon, and four hands go up.0 -

Had a buddy with the last name of Poole, he named his kid Seth.
There is a guy that lives in my area named Maddog Zoomzoom Moonchild.
A black guy named Charles Spears....don't call him Chuck.

People only usually ridicule my middle name. First time for Doug Wilson. A name passed down to me from some fine Men on my Dad's side of the family, and one I have passed to my Son, Doug II. I fully expect to see a "Doug III" in the future and I hope everyone who bears this proud name, reflects the standards set by his forebears.
I have found that the actions of Men seldom reflect the weirdness of their names.
Does it seem strange that the folks that make fun of my name, scrupulously conceal their own??
