P3..Glass bowls. I remember them on J3's and Aeronca Champs. Called "gascolators", whatever that means.

And remember the air cleaners that took a quart of oil? (I had one on a '63 VW). Joe

I had a STP sticker on my banana seat bicycle in 1970. The bike had a stick shifter and dual hand brakes if that counts! [:D]

I have owned four Fords with 3-on-the-tree manual transmissions.

I have owned two Chevrolets with Powerglide 2-speed transmissions.

I have put "Mooneyes" stickers on my back quarter windows, but never had any Moon parts.

I have had chrome valve covers and chrome air cleaners.

I have had chrome reverse wheels with baby moons, on my 1970 Ford Maverick.

I have owned several 8-track tape players in my cars. One was even "Quadrophonic," utilizing four of the eight tracks at a time, so the Quad tapes only had two programs each.

Many of my cars/trucks had the headlight dimmer switch on the floor. That can be tricky when you have to deal with a clutch and a dimmer switch at the same time.

At one time, I didn't think twice about driving a vehicle without air conditioning.

"It's a model made without a catalytic converter, so it runs good on regular gas." (Who said that?)

Remember the "test tube?" It was made to bolt on in place of the factory catalytic converter, ostensibly to test your performance and mileage with the converter off, so you could see if it needed to be replaced. In reality, we just put on the test tube, and broke the restrictor plate out of the gas filler neck so we could pump regular leaded fuel in. We didn't realize a big jump in performance or MPG, but we could buy the cheaper leaded gasoline.
