Admit it guys and girls
whats the fastest you ever drove?
[EDIT]
I was just a little faster than this, but the picture warranted taking it at this time. NO! I was not running from the police; however not too bad for a little metro. [;)]
No, it is not a photoshop. [8D]

120 out running a cop in my dad's 1994 V-6 Mustang. I got away.
150+ on my 1978 Suzuki GS1000. No reason for that one, just wanted to see what she'd do.0 -

It's not the fastest; but, years ago I was with a friend in a 1957 Ford of his that had 3 on the column with overdrive. I saw him hit 110mph in second gear/overdrive. 0 -
135 in a 1958 plymouth with the golden commando engine. It was an ex highway patrol car and still had the S/W speedometer. But it only had 45mph tires.[:0] 0 -
In my last car I had I would routinley (sp), at least once a week for 50 + miles, drive 100-115. The car toped out at 115 when the eletronics kicked in. I dive lots and so speed = time. I keep to 80 on the hwy since there are too many cops out there but when I hit the back roads by my house I would run those high speeds. Now that I drive a Suburban I usually keep it under 85 or so. 0 -
I've been in a car at 206mph, I drove it back and didn't have the nuts to do over 160.
Nissan Skyline R-34. I was on spring break in Florida. Some kid's dad bought him the skyline for his graduation present. He put about $35k into it in performance parts. Took the huge 17mi bridge by St. Petersberg at about 3am.0 -
Back when I was 19, ran my dads buick to about 110 and threw a rod. Thought I was going die. Either hitting something or from him after ward. Never pushed my luck that far sence, top speed about 80 now. 0 -
155 in a lightly modified 89 Corvette. 0 -
Lived in Germany for eight years. Autobahns=no speed limits, would routinely do 100mph and get passed like I was standing still. 0 -
113 in a chevy corsica, 110 in my Dodge RAM in overdrive. For some reason the electronic shut off doesn't shut off when the truck is in overdrive. Don't know if thats supposed to happen, but it does. Otherwise the truck shuts off at 100. At 110 I still have power, but not that balls to go past it. 0 -
Not my boat, but I did get to drive a friends 2400 hp 35' cigarette boat at about 115-120 in a and it still had room to go, fast enough for me.[:p] Then I understood why the glass windshield was an inch thick. 0 -
I made it up to 105 in my 1989 Calais, which had over 200,000miles on it at the time.
Fastest ever was 115 in my Ford Taurus. It's an estimate, it pegs out at about 100. Took nearly 10 seconds for it to come back down to 100.0 -
145 on my street bike.
I have been there over 50 times last summer.0 -
140 in a naturally aspirated 2ng gen rx-7 0 -
hhmm... lessee....
115 (top speed) in a '76 camaro. I was scared going that fast.
105 (top speed) in a '73 cutlass a few times.
105 (top speed) in a '87 nissan truck, chasing the same cutlass driven by someone else.
my dad has done about 170 in a... I think he said it was a super bee. on a regular 2-lane highway. (not smart)
one time I did about 35 on a skateboard, going down a street. that was really scary.0 -

changed rearend in my 71 Z28 to 3.49 or something close to that
speedo went to 150 and it broke, used to be able remember at what rpm it broke, anyway still had some motor left, but not enough road to finish. Thank goodness because I think if the mirrors had stuck out a little more the damn thing would have gone nose up and took flight.0 -
I believe I did about 135 in my BMW 535 before I let off the gas.
I blew a tire on the turnpike extension in south Florida at 127mph in my 1977 modified corvette and had a E-Ticket ride through the swamp!! This is the 1977 L-82.
The wife had this baby up to 144 and it was still accelerating like a rabbit! Top is around 160 if you have the nerve.

145 in a '67 Plymouth GTX (no hemi). Smoked a Camaro with fancy paint and rims.[8D] I lost him at about 120. I-35 in Southern Illinois on my way to Downers Grove.
WHAT A RUSH!!!0 -
I got my stock 1982 4 cylinder Honda Accord up to 160 on I81 south of Harrisonburg. I think it even had more to give, but I got nervous.
(That's kilometers per hour)0 -
I would rather note admit the actual speed, [:D] Lets just say that the state of Tn does not write tickets at the speed he locked on the radar gun.[:0] 0 -
about 105 passenger vehicle about 81 in the Freightliner! uh, did I say that?![:0] 0 -
120? in a 1973 Ford F100 4X4, 390 power. Speedo stopped at 100, but needle had swept past 100, across bottom of speedo and was back at "0". This was in 1979 I think.
85+ in this humping water to a fire.

About 105 in a 1979 Ford LTD with a 351W at about age 19, so that would make it about 21 years ago. I do believe I have statute of limitation on my side.
DSM0 -
About 142 in a little Porsche. 0 -
Got to 155 in my 06 Mustang Before i got to the turn. [8D]

Ditto here. I have 6 years in Germany. Not uncommon to get passed by a Lambergini doing 260. My fastest I believe was around 140.0 -
