I'll narrow that down a bit. '69 Mustang Mach 1 or Boss 429. No finer car before or since.

1968 SuperStock Dodge Dart 4 spd.[:p] Cross Ram 426 HEMI with an "advertised" 425 hp (was closer to 500). Dana 60, no heater, no A/C no radio, no power steering, no power brakes, no insulation, Corning glass side windows, no window cranks (used a seatbelt to let the windows up/down), fiberglass fenders and hood. Used an A-100 van seat on aluminum mounts to save weight.
Just a plain badass car built to dominate the upper ranks of Super Stock which they did and still do.
Missed buying one when I was 15. Dad said it wasn't a "sensible" car.[:D]

Ive narrowed it down to three in this order.

    1) 1970 Chevelle SS454 (already have)
    2) 1971 Hemi Cuda'
    3) 1969 1/2 440 Six-pack Super Bee

Is your 70 Chevelle the 450 Hp version? Wish I had one.[:)]

Some on this 50 fastest Muscle cars is messed up. I had a 67 Chevelle SS 396/375 with a factory 4:56 rear gear and close ratio 4 speed that would fly. It actually ran faster on Radials than the bia/ply tires. My factory stock Grand Sport Corvette's will do a 13.3 at 107 MPH thru the Quarter mile. Not bad for a stock car. Which would be the 7 th fastest on the list.. notice that is a 68 Vette with a 427 with 3 dueces.. Who says technology hasn't improved when a 350 Fuel injection will run the same as a 427 [:D]

I'm perfectly satisfied with my Miata, which will be viewed as a classic in a few years. I can afford it.

No, my 70 SS454 Chevelle is not the 450 HP LS-6, I didnt have the $50,000 when I bought mine about 8 years ago. Mine was originally a LS-5 360 HP 454 and will soon be a 502

The first race car I ever built was a '69 mach 1, fast but expensive to run. I have been a chevy guy ever since.
