Favorite Classic Automobile?
What is your favorite classic automobile? I think Ford styleside trucks from 1973-1979 are great.
Easy for me - any of the 'Golden Three' - '55, '56, '57 Chevy.
Used to own a '56 - am looking at a '55 now.

The 55, 56, and 57 Chevy's were great, but my favorite was the 69 Z28 Camaro. I passed on getting one in 1969 and waited and bought the redesigned 1970 Z28 as soon as I could order one. As much as I liked the 70 Z28, I always wished I'd bought the 1969. 0 -

Of the Golden three, I'll take the '57 Chev in Bronze. I rented one
new and tore up the road with it. It was a winner in its' day.
What I'd really like is a prewar Lincoln Continental.0 -
Black with white top, 1957 Ford Sunliner convertible, dual quad 312 with a T-85 overdrive with a Hurst Dual-Pattern Synchro-Lok floor shift.
I wish I still had it.
But then, there are maybe 80 old cars I wish I still had.

Call me crazy but I'm still partial to the late 70's Chevy pickups. Dad and I have rebuilt three of them. They might be ugly too many but the '88 body was one of the biggest sins General Motors committed.
We still have Grandpa's 54 GMC 1-Ton Pickup parked in the shed. (One piece front windshield and corner windows) I don't think it's been driven since the middle 60's.0 -

This will sound odd, but I have had sports cars, antiques, you name it. Which memory is the most nostalgic for me? Which would I most want to have magically appear on the driveway? Easy -- my 1951 Willys pickup truck. Four-cylinder Jeep engine, 4WD, top speed 45 mph. 0 -
That has been the car of my dreams since about 1974, when I saw and heard my first one. MMMMmmmmmm. Sweet.

...Had a white one just like that. Every day, the wife loaded it with 500-1,000# of newspapers. There was room for her to reach the shifter, and that's all. Never saw another two wheel drive that would go through snow like that thing.
...Wish I still had my '69 GTO ragtop, '66 Malibu or Dad's boatail Riviera.0 -
I really don't have a favorite, there are just too many great cars to choose from. I would love to have some of the cars that have been in the family in years past like my moms '57 Bel Air or my dads '65 Hemi Satalite. But since those are far out of reach, any of these would work for me:
