I watch these muscle car sales closely, and this car if it is really as matching as it is claimed to be will bring a good bit. The high teens are about the average low end for a decent muscle car that needs only fluf & window dressing. Listing it here on GB is a bit odd, because their are other sights that might bring more interest. This isn't just your average Chevy Impala, and it's numbers had to be limited. It is what is hot right now on the muscle car market.

+1 it might, but I doubt it will sell. The saving grace is that it is fully optioned, a rarity in '72.0 -
Over priced is more like it. This is no show car and in need of body work. Is that rust I see? It does have a 454 and Air conditioning. Easily could drop 5K in it to make it an above average car. Book says in excellent condition 12K. Minus the restoration. NO thanks 0 -

Remember, this isn't your typical Chevy Impala. It was a limited edition muscle car.
A buyer has to look at it as an investment, not a daily driver that your wife is going to be using to take the kids to the scorer game in. If you watch the market these types of cars are selling like hot cakes. Heck, the power train alone is probably well worth half the asking price. A vehicle with this type of muscle that still has the matching numbers is even rarer. What little rust & body work needs to be done is minimal. A good rebuild, and a quick run across the Barrette Jackson Auto Auction stage and this car brings 70 to 80K easy.

What makes a car a muscle car? Where is it written that a car has to be a GTO, Camero, Firebird, Vette, Road Runner, or Mustang to be a muscle car? There were plenty of big block cars, but not many with this type of muscle.

My Old Car Price guide in PERFECT Show condition has it at 20K add 35% for BB. This would be a NO. 1 car, not driven but a trailer queen show car. This car is a driver. 0 -

The classic definition of a muscle car - as defined when they were being built - is a big block in a mid-sized or smaller frame.
The only full-sized sedan(body) that qualified, if I remember correctly, was the letter series Chrysler 300s.
It was a defined genus - not just a "muscular" car. The listed car is not even a Super Sport (SS) model.
I won't argue that it's not a "muscular" car - it for sure is, and I'd also like to have it.
