Wikipedia is not known as the definitive authority for anything.
Musclecars were only of United States manufacture.
Having lived, raced, and owned cars in the musclecar era, and mostly in Southern California (the home of hotrodding), I can definitively tell you that muscle cars were never referred to as "supercars" then, except perhaps by one or two journalists who were not accepted as authorities.
Your argument here is similar to the arguments of those who insist that "Long Colt" is a caliber.
I do respect your thoughts, and will understand what YOU are speaking of when you refer to what you think are musclecars.

I did a little research, and can't find that either of these cars made it to production as street legal vehicles, able to be registered to operate on America's highways, and mass produced by Ford.
Musclecars were cars that could be purchased by consumers, licensed in their state, and driven to work daily. So Race HEMI (not street HEMI) MOPARS are also not musclecars.
As such, the cars you mentioned, are not musclecars - they are race cars only.

The motor does NOT make it a muscle car.
You can put 5 hot rod motors in a big boat impala or my old Electra 225 and it is just a big car with some hot motors maybe even a hotrod but not a muscle car.0 -
John - some of those Pacers and Hornets had 390s and 401s dropped in - it was a swap using factory parts - and they were very, VERY fast, but sorry, NOT musclecars.

A 1970 Lincoln Mark III had a 365 HP 460 in it stock, and some of them would wax a few big block sedans. 0 -
I had a 1984 4x4 AMC Eagle wagon.
It was a pretty darn good car now that I think back on it. Don't know why I ever got rid of it. Used the 4 wheel drive all the time in the winter.0 -
