No One Answered My Question
how many of you on this board have gotten a DUI or driving with a suspended license ? i think i smell ALOT of hypocrites on this board as well as ALOT of hateful people in their comments towards paris hilton. i cant believe how shameful everyone here is acting. however, i find it very promising that due to the enourmous outrage everyone here is spewing that all of you guys will be petitioning you congressman to increase the jail time for DUI offenders and those driving without a license.

Never been arrested or stopped for DUI. Have never driven under the influence. Not a hypocrite when I think the law should apply to everyone equally, because you can bet if I ever am arrested for driving under the influence on a suspended license, I will be going away, no questions asked.

Nope. Never pulled over for it. Never gotten a DUI, and never will. One beer limit max, and that's usually on a full stomach.
As far as I'm concerned, I couldn't care less if they confiscated cars on the first offense and made it a mandatory 5 year prison sentence. Zero tolerance. 2nd offense, 10 year prison sentence or 50,000 dollar fine to go to AA classes in the area. 3rd offense, execution.
And quite whining about Paris Hilton. Give it a rest. She's royalty here. All she has to do is 'play' every day and spend their money. She lives in fantasy land. A little inconvenience like this and it's like the end of her life and a major news story for the millions upon millions of peons in this country and around the world with no life. What fun for them. I am 44 years old...been driving for 28 years...ZERO DUIs/DWIs/Impaired...NEVER had a license suspended/revoked...ZERO speeding tickets
If you think that DUI/DWI is no big deal...then you need to come work with me and my fellow firefighters/EMTs as we cut a vehicle apart from around a victim that was hit only to watch them crash on us and not make it to the ER...or cut the drunk driver out who has minor injuries only while their one year old is still strapped in the car seat in the rear...but is dead.
Then you need to go with Nunn or one of his LEOs to the house of the victim and tell the husband/wife/mother/father that their loved one was killed in a vehicle accident and will not be coming home again.
Yeah...DUI/DWI is no big deal.0 -

I know where you're coming from, my man. I spend a good deal of time thinking and worrying about Paris Hilton myself. Most of my waking life, in fact. I catch myself wondering what she is wearing, what she had for breakfast, what she thinks about String Theory and the goings on in the Sudan. Sometimes I wonder what her favorite garnish is. That she maybe violated her probation was likely due to some oversight, some momentary flight of whimsy for sole purpose of helping out a friend or finding a stray puppy a good home. Never had a DWI...not to say I didn't deserve one (or two)back in the day. I have however come to believe that DWI is akin to attempted murder. it is making a conscious decision to risk the lives of anyone you meet (head-on) on the road. stupid and inexcusable at this point! Paris is an ass she thumbed her nose at the court and had it televised I imagine her publicist is eating this episode up. she will probably write a book(or pay someone to write it for her) while she is in jail and make another million. 0 -
