Looks like we will get a rebate this spring. Talk about bread and circuses! Must be an election year. So much for fiscal responsibility !







................................But If I must do my part to stimulate the econemy a Rock River Arms 24" flat top would be nice.

    I think I will sink it ALL into Primers and bullets.

    Any gun purchases from dealers will be on record, and will be easily ruled illegal/subject to confiscation.

    I'm just gonna make certain that I have the supplies for a couple thousand shots in every caliber I own.

    If I receive anything, which in my income bracket I doubt will be the case (I could make twice what I do and still be below the government's official "poverty line" -- but I'm wealthy enough to support people who for whatever valid-or-otherwise reason don't work), I will enjoy the sight of my Excel checkbook register showing only black numbers for a few months.

    I must have turned into something resembling a responsible citizen, somewhere along the line. My first thought when reading about this possible rebate wasn't "MeMeMeMe -- Meeeeee...." but, "Where's the money for this coming from?"

I, for one, am glad to get it, as I am quite certain that I pay too dang much in taxes to start with, and am a much smarter "spender" and "manager" of my money than the US government is.     Replace some of the twelve thousand klinkies that my 401k account lost since 1-1-08...(not there of course)
    One would have thought that all that money would have simulatided a little growth...
    Possiby monies that aren't backed by GOLD n Silver are just useless pieces of paper after all!!!
    Which pretty much means that Bush's rebate plan is a joke...
    Want to simulate ecomony, back that greenback up with something besides a promise..America has seen enough of politician's promises to know their real value!!!!

    Great example,.....but it doesn't apply to some that bust their rear the hardest.

    If they are doing this, which I believe is beyond belief,.....it ought to apply to EVERYONE that pays taxes, and DOES NOT already get it all back plus more from the EIC welfare payment.
    I think that Bill Gates should get the refund also,........but then again I am not a socialist, or a Marxist.

    If they were actually using real money for the rebate that might be so. This scam is being done on borrowed money which means it will increase the debt & interest costs as well. What they give us with one hand will be taken back with other in terms of inflation.
