STUPID WIFE!!!

So, I found a guy who wants to sell me one of his Springfield M1A's (my dream rifle) for a $1,000 (including 4 magazines). He'll even do payment plan, and there's no tax (or government records!!) since it's a private sale.
And what does the wife say? "We have other things we have to spend money on! We need a new car (this is true), things for the yard (also true), home repairs (yeah, that too)...." Etc, etc....
And then she puts a knife in my heart: "Besides, you don't need another gun!"
Ow. That really hurts.[:(][:(]
Despite her being right about all the other stuff (dead wrong about the "need" of another gun), how do y'all convince your Mrs.? And advice would be greatly appreciated.

Go thru your collection. Pick out two firearms you can live with out. Price them too high to sell. Preferably for a total price above the $1,000.00 the M1A will cost.[;)] Go to wife and say your right. I am going to sell TWO fire arms for more than the $1,000 the M1A cost.[:D] So I will have one less firearm and extra money after the two sell. List the firearms. Go buy the M1A. Later when the two firearms don't sell and the wife brings up the subject start a thread titled something like "Are Firearms sales slow lately?" Get friends to post responses like "yes but it looks like they are picking up". Then have someone post the picture of the obese woman with the champagne bottle in the belly button with their response. When wife asks about the lack of sales show her the thread. That should end future questions.[8D]
This also partially explains other subject threads like
1.Why is the seller trying to sell this firearm for so much?
2.Why did the seller say the item is no longer in stock
3. My wife left me.

I ran across this problem a number of times! I have two suggestions for you! First STOP asking permission from your wife! Second, IF you are like me you have a number of "guns" so I just go ahead and get what I want, and if the wife ever notices I just say ..."OH I've had that gun a long time now!" *G* Good Luck! 0 -
Leave the house with an empty gun case, say I am going to the range. come home with a full gun case.. simple.. 0 -

S&W 686+ w/6" barrel
S&W 38 Special snubby (Model 637)
NAA mini .22 LR
Ruger 10/22
Remington 700 (in .270)
Marlin .30-30
The pistols are all for home and personal defense, so they will never go. The only ones I would part with (at this point in time) are the Remington and the Marlin, neither of which would ever come close to the cost of the M1A.[:(]0 -

This method works too. I used to use it. Now my wife has just given up. Either that or she has forgotten how to count!

A friend of mine solved that problem once when his wife uttered that phrase.
He just responded "Have I ever told you that you have too many sets of dishes?"
He was home free from that point forward.0 -
