Best War Movie?
I just saw "A Walk In The Sun" last night (for about the 87th time) and I guess it's my favorite war movie. Star cast, gritty events and memorable characters.
It beats out my next in line for the title, "Yesterday's Enemy" . Stanley Baker is in a tough spot and it dosen't get better. See it if you didn't alreaady.
BTW, this has likely been covered a dozen times before - I just didn't see it.

The best war movie would be one in which Jean Claude VanDam goes up against Steven Segal using real guns and real ammo. Now I'd pay a lot to see that! Is it possible to die of bad acting?

Perfect timing for this question. Wife and I saw "Flying Tigers" last night, starring a very young John Wayne. Visual effects were pretty stone age, but I love WW-II era black-and-whites. Made in '42 I think. 0 -
To 11b- you were the only one to pick my favorite- "Breaker Morant" if the British Army had studied carefully their FUBARS against the Boers in Africa at the turn of the 20th. Century, as this great B movie showed, perhaps WW1 might have been a week-long skirmish in the Balkans- Thanks for picking my favorite- also "The Bridge On The River Quai" for all those that did- didn't see "Patton" in the picks- always wondered what his part in the ETO might have been if he hadn't slapped that Pvt. in the field hospital in Sicily-- 0
