The absence of malice thing I am not fully up on.
The FCC does not tell any media they HAVE to report news. If they can't report it accurately, they should keep their yaps shut or be sued.
I may or may not visit the absence of malice clause or laws or rulings or whatever that is based on. If you could point me to where it all started, I may have a better chance of deciphering what that is about and better to talk on that topic.
I do know that it is not part of the 1st amendment, and thus needs to be held accountable. Who came along after and gave them carte blanche to lie, I do not know at this time. That does need to change. But, if I investigate it and find that any subsequent laws do not corroborate the lies, I will let you know.
I did not fight and defend my country so people can piss on the flag. The constitution does not give anybody that right. The media has force fed that garbage to the public and liberal judged mis interpreted that.
The first amendment allows you recourse to petition the government for redress, not lie indiscriminately. It was never meant to protect lies. It was written so people with opposing views on the leaders could not be chained in dungeons and tortured and made examples of to keep the government in ill gotten power.
We need to get back to those basics.
Some may argue that if Trump reigns in the media, that he will be like the other dictators who have done so. Problem is that the media is already weaponized, so that ship has sailed.
The FCC dropped the ball, and back when Obama appointed the radical FCC chair, all sorts of things have been happening that nobody seems to care about. One of the latest being that big conglomerates can now buy up the smaller companies.
There is only so much air bandwidth, and the FCC was supposed to keep bigger stations from stepping on and basically shouting over the smaller lower power stations. Then FCC got political and now we have what is current.
FCC FDA and EPA are some of the most evil controlling alphabet branches, and they go unchecked, not voted for and untouchable.
