Those would be cans of pop up here in Mid-Michigan. Alternatively I would call them my retirement fund because there is a .10 deposit on those cans of pop.
Little known fact: Fanta was a German (Nazi) invention from WWII. The Coca Cola plant in Germany could not get the syrup to make Coke so they developed soft drinks made from flavors available locally. After the war Coke took back their plant and kept the brand alive. Bob

For those with more discriminating taste, use it in marinade for your pork shoulder before it goes in the smoker. "Tender" doesn't begin to describe the results.

Life is too short not to enjoy yourself every now & then. Never had a cup of coffee in my life. Never had a hard drink either.
Oh yeah, I'm also a big fan of 2% milk. Cold cereal sucks with water.
2% is water. I prefer whole milk on cereal.

I don't call them anything because I don't drink them.
I drink just good cold water from my well or unsweetened iced tea made with my well water.
Now my wife drinks wine and she drinks no soda/pop/tonic whatever it is called.

Just wondered, growing up in Iowa it was always dinner and then supper. Lived in Huntington Beach for three years in the late 50's and it was lunch and then dinner out there. Nothing earth shaking, just always wonder about different parts of the country.

When I was growing up,all the old timers that had worked in the cotton mills called them dopes and the cart where they were sold was called a dope wagon.I assume they were called that because Coca Cola had cocaine in it in the early years.

I have always liked to use Vernor's Ginger Ale as a marinade for pork loins before smoking. OHHHH yummy sweetness and flavor it adds to a tender hunk of meat!!
Just one more pop can tid bit to add for my area growing up in Traverse City Michigan. Here we always had Dr. Pepper available. When I went to boot camp down in Texas the favored soda pop was Mr. Pibb 😮 It was the first I ever heard of it and I could not tell the difference in taste from Dr. Pepper!

we used Dr Pepper to marinade steaks, will tenderize em to melt in your mouth........

Sacrilege! Mr. Pibb in Texas! Coke must of had the contract on your base, they made Mr. Pibb. Every Texan I know would always choose Dr. Pepper over any coke product...😁

They served Mr. Pibb in the chow hall at Lackland. Our squadron chow runner was nick named "Mr. Pibb" 😁

I failed to mention, that I never have just a glass of milk. It simply must have ice cubes in it. The milk must be ice cold, usually colder than what your average fridge can get it to.
It's been that way most all my life. I can't stand warm milk. Makes me wanna toss up whatever I had to eat. Hot chocolate is different though. I like a cup on very cold days.
I'm not being critical........but ice in milk? No way here. I love a glass of ice cold milk, but not with ice in it.
One of my favorite things about the mess hall was the milk machine. I could drink as much as I wanted.
