GunBroker.com updated its category structure on April 23, 2025 to improve site navigation, make listings easier to find, and provide more specific categories for certain types of items.
The update included:
- New categories for additional item types
- Renamed categories using clearer and more consistent terminology
- Consolidated categories to reduce duplication
- Categories moved to different parent categories
- Retired categories that were replaced by existing or newly created categories
How the Category Changes Affect Listings
Listings should use the current GunBroker.com category structure.
When a category was retired as part of the 2025 update, existing active listings were moved to the appropriate replacement category when applicable. New listings and relisted items must use the current category and category ID.
If you use category URLs or category IDs in external websites, inventory management systems, listing software, or other integrations, verify that they reference the current categories.
You can view the complete current category structure on the GunBroker.com Categories page.
