Sellers can block users from placing future bids on their listings. You can block the current high bidder directly from an active listing or add a user to your Blocked Bidder List to prevent them from bidding on any of your listings.
Block the Current High Bidder
To prevent the current high bidder from placing additional bids on an active listing:
- Sign in to your GunBroker account.
- Open the active listing.
- Select Block Bidder.
Important: Blocking a bidder prevents the user from placing future bids. It does not retract or remove bids they have already placed. If the blocked bidder remains the high bidder when the listing ends, they may still be the winning bidder.
Add a User to Your Blocked Bidder List
To prevent a specific user from placing future bids on any of your listings:
- Sign in to My GunBroker.
- Open the menu and select Toolbox.
- Select Listing Tools.
- Locate the Blocked Bidder List.
- Add the bidder you want to block.
You can also use this page to review or edit users you have previously blocked.
Blocked Date of 1/1/1998
You may see some users on your Blocked Bidder List with a blocked date of 1/1/1998.
This date indicates the user was blocked before GunBroker began recording the actual date bidders were added to blocked lists. When date tracking was introduced, 1/1/1998 was assigned to bidders who were already blocked.
No action is required for these entries.
