What brand or kind of gun do you collect??
Myself I love the little 410's new in the box. I like stuff that is not made anymore but nib. Old shotguns ( old remington 1100's, old brownings) or about any old 410. I also like the old s&w pistols

I have a some pairs and a few sets but I seem to buy alot of variety. One thing I try not to do is duplicate or triplicate the same caliber too often. Although sometimes it's necessary. 0 -

It would only be nib untill I got it outside and stuffed a few shells in and tried it out

Good stuff! I stick with the .45, .22, 9mm, and .357/.38sp... then there's the black powders (whole nother ball game there), the .380, the .17hmr, the .223, .25... and who else knows what's in the safe... so I like your idea about shooting about 5 of them! [:D][:D][:D]0 -

Steeltoe: givette here. I had a M1 Thompson in Vietnam with 30rd stick magazines. Straight forward loading (bolt either closed or locked back). My question is do you need to have the bolt locked to the rear in order to slide a loaded drum magazine into the '28?? Can you carry a '28 with a loaded drum and the bolt forward on an empty chamber? Something tells me that's impossible without serious risk of an AD. What's your take on this? Thanks, Joe 0 -

Since I have not ever tried to load any of mine with the bolt forward (and I would have to go into the bedroom, open the safe, and wake the wife up in order to do so at this time) I cannot honestly answer your question. With the stick, yes but not with the drum because there's too much spring pressure behind 50 or 100 rounds. You'd have to displace all that ammo, one round in the drum spiral against a spring loaded follower.
We only had 20 rd mags on recaptured 28A1s and M1A1s in Korea; no 30 rd stick mags or drums. The enemy used mostly stick mags and a rare drum in the PPsh41 at least in '53.0 -
