EVERYBODY, STAY HOME FROM SCHOOL ON SEPTEMBER 11TH... NO MATTER WHAT SCHOOL YOU GO TO, WHAT STATE YOU LIVE IN, THINK ABOUT IT... TEACHERS SHOW UP AND NOBODY IS IN CLASS... THEN THEY'LL LEAVE... I'm not in school anymore as of two weeks ago.
But, my wife is in school, and if she misses a class, she gets severely penalized. She's in a fast-track program, one day equals about three to normal students.
I won't be telling her to miss classes. What she is doing is too important (and expensive).
Moreover, I just spent the last two years in school without a break -- no time off for holidays, I had to work that in my own time.0 -

On that day my Anthropology class went on as normal but in Philosophy we talked about the attack. What really ticked me off was that we talked about the attack in Phil again on the 13th. Losing two whole class days to the terrorists seemed wrong.0 -

I myself agree that we shouldent have school. It also pisses me off when people think everyone is that disrespectful and that they will just use september 11th as a holiday. I dont think that it would be a holiday if we dident go. It would be a chance to morn thoughs that died on 9/11 and to recognize thoughs of who are fighting for our country at this very moment. It would not be to suport the terrorist or whatever some of you may think. Its not about that. Its about thoughs that have family members fighting for us and because of 9/11. Its about the heros that saved lives that horrid morning and its about respect. I know that I am not going to school on september 11th but i am going to make signs and posters and stand on the side of the road and try to get people to remember what happened and what is happening. 0 -
