Left on the store shelf.[:D]0 -
Hebrew National all beef - deep fried, served with raw onions, brown mustard and horseradish on home made sourdough buns.
Also, some dogs with coney sauce at certain restaurants.
I used to know the best hot dog places all over the Country - but I don't anymore.

Then I wash it down with a Hamm's.0 -

SUNDAY AT 2:OO PM0 -
That IS a bar dog.
The first one I had was when I was about 7 and had it at Stephenson's Delicatessen at East 238th and Lake Shore Boulevard in Euclid, Ohoho.
That would have been in 1951, when kids could sit at the bar if food was served, and 18 year olds could drink 3.2 beer - Sunday beer.
Been eating them that way ever since, when I have had control of the makin'.

Grilled! Wife hates the stands![:D][:D]

I like them boiled but will eat them no matter how they are...except charred to a crisp! 0 -
I like em with ketchup, yellow mustard, and chopped raw onion; how there cooked doesn't matter to me. They always taste better if eaten outdoors though 0 -
I used to hate hot dogs. I really got turned off after working in a hog packing plant for 6 months. I didn't eat anything with pork in it. Then I had a supervisor take me out for hot dogs when I was a recruiter. He was showing me the ropes and he would stop at Milwaukee Weiner in Sioux City, Iowa about once a week. Now I LOVE hot dogs. They used to have a place in Sioux City called Stadium Dogs. They would sell the same hot dogs sold at the football games of Iowa State, USD, UNO, U of IA and a few others. It was DANG good but that business opened up right before the economy started to tank in 2000.
My favorite hotdog is the garlic Wahoo Weenie from the butcher shop in Wahoo, Nebraska. Wahoo ships their dogs out all over the world. I'd eat them things raw if I had to.
My favorite way to eat a dog....hmm....so many ways.
I like chili, cheese and onions if it's a foot-long.
Otherwise, I like a little of the meat sauce, mustart and onions--preferably cooked on a clamshell grill.0 -

The classic Maine red hot dog, that was made by Jordan's Meats, cooked over an open hardwood fire, placed on a toasted bun with your favorite mustard. RJSnow 0 -
[8D]--I forgot about those yesteryears when we were kids and used to put marshmellows on a stick, but that couldn't beat the toasted HOT DOGS--
--We couldn't do either on my last couple of trips in the Sierras , Because of NO FIRES allowed, even with permits--Bummer

grilled! even george forman grilled with ketchup, mustard, and relish! yum! 0 -
I'm kinda weird I guess, but had a dog when I was in Phoenix that I still love. DOesn't matter the brand of dog, but should be a good quality. Wrap it in a slice of bacon, secure the bacon with toothpicks and grill it up until the bacon is good and crisp. Take a hoagie roll, place weiner and bacon in bun and top with: chopped tomatoes, onions, shredded cheese, tomatillo salsa, refried beans, mayo, mustard, and jalapeno pepper slices. Guaranteed to give you a world class case of gas! But dang good! They will be on the menu for Labor Day! Can't wait!! [:p] 0 -
