    Stainless.
I lived in Alaska and got tired of of having to make sure there wasn't any salt water on the blued ones. I think you'll find that an overwhelming number of AK residents have went to the stainless guns. My Judge, Beretta 82fs and my 10/22 are all SS.[:)]

For carry, stainless. For the collection and for looks, deep, polished blue.

Blueing to look at, stainless to shoot

    Final Talley:

    31 Blued; 22 Stainless

I personally prefer SS for durability reasons...although I do prefer the blackened SS.

    One more vote for Parkerized...

    Actually, paint over park.

But since that ain't a choice, I'd get stainless if I was going to be carrying concealed...

I like what I guess is a card you hand out to business that have the naive "no concealed handguns". But you missed at least two (maybe more) of the atttibutes that a gun owning concealde carry holder must have:

not dishonorably discharged from the military. Not an illegal alien.

In addition, you might add that "can you say that about the people who work in your building?" If not the employees, then the contractors usually have somekind of record that won't allow them to purchase firearms.

BTW, I have been distrurbed by some of the negative things I have read about stainless steel guns.

Matt stainless. More durable but not too flashy.

In a 1911 my first choice is parkerized, followed by blued. Stainless 1911's just do not look right to me.
