I rear-ended a car a few days ago....... I tell you, It was a REALLY bad day!
The driver got out of the other car, and he was a friggin' DWARF!!
He looked up at me and said "I am NOT happy!"

We all have them, but today sucked.

    1. 5:30 on the drive in to work, pop called and his oldest brother past away. Robert was 85 and it was expected, his sister passed on the 12th, so dad lost a brother and sister within 2 weeks, add in pop just turned 60. He is a mental wreck.

    2. 8:00 My biggest customer has a new Quality guy that is busting our butts over something that has always been acceptable, asked for changes in our process and we agreed, then sent back product that was 18 months old ($125K worth).... I get to go to Houston for a meeting with them on Monday...

    3. 9:30 My mentors dipstick kid didn't show up for work again, his last straw, my old boss is now retired and I get to call him and tell him I have to fire his kid- who is 5 years older than me.

    4. 11:00 Trying to get all paperwork together for the meeting Monday, I don't have time to go eat lunch with the other 2 managers that I shoot sporting clays with. So I get a sandwich from the vending machine and go back to my office........ moldy

    5. 1:00-4:00 UTA engineering tour..... I get to walk a bunch of kids through my shop and see that they would rather die than work in a true manufacturing environment. Not even a cute girl, and it was 26 kids, 5 of which could speak English well.

    6. 4:30 Go back to office....40 e-mails, 40 problems, 40 things to check out.....phone rings, Alex just tore up his hand....... 6 Stitches and 4 hours later...

I got to see my kids, wife, heck I didn't even kick the cat [;)]

I am going to sleep like a baby once I get wound down

Getting ready to leave the house to work. ask the wife to get some bread from the freezer since i had used the last of it to make my lunch.

She comes back in and say the freezer had quit working. Things were starting to thaw. I ran and checked. Its dead. Now I got to wait for the store to open.

We open the office and start printing some paperwork that was needed. 4 year old printer dead.

A short time later One of our other resident mangers called and her computer slowed down and wouldn't work right.

I take off and go look at the computer. Blew it out and cooled it down. Damage already done. Got to buy a new computer. I need a new one with XP installed to make sure that all the install programs will still run. Special order unless I build from scratch.

Go to the store and find the freezer I want. My luck all of the stores in the area out of stock. Looked at another one ask if it was in stock. Got a surprise. Open box $100 off get it loaded now to find a printer.

Find the printer get it home stat to hook it up. Put in the drivers dick and cdrom broke. now its back to the store to buy a drive and install.

Finally after 5 hours of dealing with the other junk I get to the freezer. I did lose the ice cream and some Popsicle. Everything else was still pretty well frozen so no loss.

I guess that it did turn out to be a ok day. Everything got replaced and is working. However it did cut into my money for my hunting trip.

There was this guy at a bar, just looking at his drink. He stays like that for half of an hour.

Then, this big trouble-making truck driver steps next to him, takes the drink from the guy, and just drinks it all down. The poor man starts crying.
The truck driver says, "Come on man, I was just joking. Here, I'll buy you another drink. I just can't stand to see a man cry."

"No, it's not that. This day is the worst of my life. First, I fall asleep, and I go late to my office.
    My boss, outraged, fires me.
When I leave the building, to my car, I found out it was stolen.
The police said that they can do nothing.
I get a cab to return home, and when I leave it, I remember I left my wallet and credit cards there.
The cab driver just drives away."

"I go home, and when I get there, I find my wife in bed with the
gardener. I leave home, and come to this bar. And just when I was
thinking about putting an end to my life, you show up and drink my
    poison."

Today was not a good day...even though I had known it was coming for some time now.

Wife had to take our old Bluetick hound into the vet for that last visit. She was starting to go downhill fast with her heart giving out on her over the last year. For the last three days she wouldn't eat or drink at all and all she wanted to do was lay on the front porch. Wife said she was so bad last night that she could barely walk across the room to the front door.

Doc checked her out and said her heart was really in bad shape now and that her kidneys were starting to shut down. We had already made the decision that we would never let her suffer just to have more time with her. She gave us 10 plus great years as a friend and companion and member of the family...the least we could do was let her gently and peacefully slip off to that last sleep.

    She will be missed.

It got crowded in heaven, so, for one day it was decided only to accept people who had really had a bad day on the day they died.

St. Peter was standing at the pearly gates and said to the first man, "Tell me about the day you died." The man said, "Oh, it was awful. I was sure my wife was having an affair, so I came home early to catch her with him. I searched all over the apartment but couldn't find him anywhere. So I went out onto the balcony, we live on the 25th floor, and found this man hanging over the edge by his fingertips. I went inside, got a hammer, and started hitting his hands. He fell, but landed in some bushes. So, I got the refrigerator and & pushed it over the balcony and it crushed him. The strain of the act gave me a heart attack, and I died." St. Peter couldn't deny that this was a pretty bad day, and since it was a crime of passion, he let the man in.

He then asked the next man in line about the day he died. "Well, sir, it was awful," said the second man. "I was doing aerobics on the balcony of my 26th floor apartment when I twisted my ankle and slipped over the edge. I managed to grab the balcony of the apartment below, but some maniac came out and started pounding on my fingers with a hammer. Luckily I landed in some bushes. But, then the guy dropped a refrigerator on me!" St. Peter chuckled, let him into heaven and decided he could really start to enjoy this job.

"Tell me about the day you died?", he said to the third man in line.
"OK, picture this.... I'm naked..... hiding inside a refrigerator......"

Upon arriving home, a husband was met at the door by his sobbing wife. Tearfully she explained, "It's the pharmacist. He insulted me terribly this morning on the phone."
Immediately the husband drove downtown to confront the phamacist and demand an apology. Before he could say more than a few words, the druggist told him, "Now, just a minute, please listen to my side of it...
This morning the alarm failed to go off, so I was late getting up. I went without breakfast and hurried out to the car, just to realize that I locked the house with both house and car keys inside. I had to break a window to get my keys. Then, driving a little too fast, I got a speeding ticket.
Later, about three blocks from the store, I had a flat tire. When I got to the store there was a bunch of people waiting for me to open up. I opened and started waiting on these people, and all the time the darn phone was ringing off the hook."
He continued, "Then I had to break a roll of nickels against the cash register drawer to make change, and they spilled all over the floor. I got down on my hands and knees to pick up the nickels; the phone was still ringing. When I came up I cracked my head on the open cash drawer, which made me stagger back against a showcase with bunch of perfume bottles on it...all of them hit the floor and broke.
Meanwhile, the phone is still ringing with no let up, and I finally got to answer it. It was your wife. She wanted to know how to use a rectal thermometer...and, honest mister, all I did was tell her!"

I had to let one of my guys go today. He has missed 24 days since jan 1 of this year. Great guy but he is going through a bad divorce. No kids. I tried to talk to him and even paid him for the days he missed but when he called out sick today, I had to let him go. I got a new guy starting tommorrow to replace him. I told him to get his life straighten out and then give me a call and I will rehire him. He was very appricative of the jesture and said he needed a little time to himself.Hope he gets right. Randy is a fantastic worker and an even better person. My heart really goes out to the guy but I need someone to work every day. Its our busy season. I told him to have unemployement call me and I will tell them he is on a temp layoff so he can collect right away without any hassles. This just really sucks.

Just got off the phone with Mom. They just found one of my cousins dead in his bed. He went through a nasty divorce about a year ago, and his ex just remarried about a week ago. Don't know if it was suicide or not, but it looks like it. He was 50 years old. If you don't mind, throw the family some prayers or kind thoughts.

I raised a little girl from 3 months to forever. Is she mine? Not by any dna test in the world. Is she mine? Always and forever. She thinks so too. Don

    PS. She is 28 now.

    Hell,
I have 3 step-children, if it comes to visiting me or visiting the "DNA doner" they visit me. DNA don't mean a thing.
I hope it works out for you, and for her.

Good luck man. If you been with your daughter for the entire two years, she's yours.

You in the middle of a divorce? Do you have custody?

she was born when i was in iraq. we were together at the time and split up a little after i got home. Recently she said if I didn't want to be with her, then I obviously don't want my daughter either. I never imagined I would get so attached to anyone.

I seen it happen many times before.
It is a hard deal to handle. Just try to keep things with her mother from getting ugly. So she will not use the child to hurt you.
Good Luck I hope it works out for the best, for you.

Jake, that little girl is your daughter. Genetics don't mean squat. If you love her as your daughter, then she is. Tell the judge that.

I've got two stepkids who call me "dad." Five step-grandkids who call me grampa. My two natural kids, whom I loved dearly, disappeared off the map after the divorce. That was 15 years ago. Life is funny.

The bright side (yes, there is one) is that if the mother wants to try to gank you for child support, you don't have to pay.

    Jake...
So you found out you didnt provide the sperm...big deal...that is NOT what matters...

You provided the guidence, the love, the support, the kisses, the hugs...In other words, you provided the fathering....

DNA be damned...you are her father and any court will see that and help you IF you want to remain her father...She loves you and you love her, is not that what matters?...If you want to remain in her life, then fight for it, and show her and the world you love her and want her...you are her father...
