When I was 17..Almost none of you children had been born. I worked all day in a corn field pulling corn for three dollars. I was more than pleased, I felt rich. I took my three bucks and my raw hands, and I hitch hiked thirty miles or so and went to a movie. A typical movie I saw at the time was about Glen Miller(is that right?) Who did that Pennsylvania 6-5000 thing? Yup, Glen Miller. I was at my romantic, sexy peak at the time, and the movie had just come out. I was torn at the time..Between staying at the theater after the movie and making cookies with the cashier or leaving with a hot blond gal and necking in her room while her parents were gone and watching George Goebel on TV. I made the wrong choice. I meant well, but I was excited by the interest in me by two different girls, and one of them was more popular than the other. I chose popular over closeness and comfort. I wish I could go back and get another shot at that, but it's long gone and I have neither. 0 -
