Have drank PBR a few times. Went through phases with most of the brand names (when I had money). Mostly it was whatever was cheapest.
Drank regular Miller (barley pop as Bobby Allison calls it [:D]) for years, then Miller Lite. When my wife and I started going together, she preferred Coor's Light so I drank that. I recall when Milwaukee
Best came out. It was like $5-$6 a case. After drinking it for a while, it was pretty good.
Back in the 70's, I always had a case iced down in the trunk of my car. In '76 went to work in a dry county, most LEO's said I kept more beer and whiskey than the boot-leggers!!!
I probably drank enough to float the USS Alabama from age 14 through my early 40's. The last 12 pack I bought was summer before last, still have one left in the 'fridge. Still have several bottles of whiskey and rum that are probably 10 years old. I wish I had listened to some older folks way back when, that you don't need alcohol to have a good time. I remember a lot of good times, but mostly realize the wasted money. Sometimes it was nothing for me to go to a bar and spend $50-$75 a night on beer and drinks. Many times it was after daybreak leaving one particular place, especially if there was someone to shoot pool with.
