ok ok ....this place is to addictive to stay away from.[:D]

got all the cattle moved back closer to home that was not close to home, so thats a relief in this country having couple hundred hd of cattle 30 miles from home nearing Dec with no protection but a barb wire fence from here to the north pole gets me little on edge. though standing out in and gathering cattle up at 5 Deg with 20 mph wind is not real fun.....might start breaking a 1/4 of sod here soon if the ground doesn't freeze up to bad...aint enough money in raising cattle anymore.

    I'm glad you decided not to stay away. Just curious if you moved those cows the old fashion way with a cattle drive? When I was young, it was quite common to see cattlemen herd their cattle from one pasture to another. I remember helping Dad do that a few times. Nowadays, they load and haul them.

    A good coat and a pair of "wooly" chaps, seemed like I spent 6 months breaking ice so the critters had water, then 3 weeks later hauling water because it was hot and dry. Ya got to be tuff to live out west, it's a good life if ya don't weaken.
