Nah, what really scares me is scientology.
You hear enough about the holywood propaganda/conspiracies, now everyone in holywood is going Scientologist (tom cruise, John Revolta, etc).
I went to the mall last week (first time in a long time, to see a movie), there was some booth - The Hubbard foundation, promoting Dianetica, and offering to tell you how to improve your life and happiness or whatever. - Scientologists being discreet that their self help way of life whatever was infact scientology.
Seems Scientology is too well known and disliked, now they are trying to hide their crud for what it is.
Cults are a bad thing, and scientology is the biggest and fastest growing.
I know many college kids whose parents are muslim, and when away at college, they eat bacon because it tastes good, smoke pot, drink, have alot of sex (males and females), engage in all sorts of vices, never go to a mosque. Don't pray, etc.
I think the american way of life may not be able to change the new immigrants, but from what I can tell, their children born here seem to love living like americans and try to get away from their parents stupid rules at every chance.
As long as we can work hard and keep this country prosperous, radical Islam won't take hold here.
Its like an opporotunistic infection, when a country gets weak and poor, it becomes vunerable to islam, which only makes it worse.
I'm worried about muslims from other countries coming here, the ones that have been here for decades and such, I'm not worried about.
In terms of religions practiced by indigenous populations (not very recent immigrants), scientology freaks me out the most.0 -
