No doubt they have plans to do in the USA what they have been doing in the UK for quite some time. Slowly but surely take over.

Okay, so we got a match. I think we can count on the Jews to weigh in in the Middle East, but probably not in force in the states.

The Buddhist will defend but not attack.

Pagans are in, but I hope there's enough Moslems to go around so they all can get one, otherwise they might go after Christians too! [:0]

To disperse crouds, wrap a pound of bacon around an M-80. It's smear radius ought to be around 15 feet.
    [:p]

Lay in a supply of hamhocks to interrogate prisoners with. Pickled pigs feet may also be used.

Maybe the Nazi Pope will call for a crusade and we won't have to wait for a Jihad. [:0][}:)]

All kidding aside, it sure seems like a showdown is coming with a religion of fanatics. I have come to view them as a 21st century attack on Western Civilization. They have been this way throughout history and they don't seem to want to change. So bring it on.

if we just held random beatings of muslims, and make them scared to be here, they would die down a little bit, or they would band together and fight, im all for either one, lets just have a showdown, who ever wins gets america.

Interesting how many folks you are including into your extermination formula.

So, they ALL hate America/Americans/Christians/Jews/ Europeans - most, some,
    the most vocal do?

    Fundamentalists or all sects?

That kind of rhetoric reminds me of something I've heard before.

... and we wonder why UFOs are standing off. LOL I suppose they are
perhaps bunching all primates into their studies - well, maybe not the
(supposedly) 'most evolved' primates of all.

zipperzap, can you name a single muslim organization in the US that openly and loudly up to this day denounces terrorism? They've all said it at one point or another for PR, but there's no real movement to stop it, therefore they are all up for it. IMNSHO, but I might be wrong, though experience shows I am not.

Perhaps I am not, and you know why? Simple because it's not loud enough. When I see it daily on TV and hear it on radio -- then I'll hear it, some obscure website simple doesn't do it for me or most of people in this country, or am I wrong here too?

So let me get this straight - the media is biased and should not be trusted.

But when you don't hear it from the media, it's proof that something's wrong?

My oh my but if that isn't a case of "I wouldn't have seen it if I didn't believe it."

Your problem is you want to be spoon fed your opinion and being told what to think by the media is much easier than doing the research and formulating your own conclusion.

We all need to think more and be a little more discerning about what the media tells us - they have an agenda as well and it's not always that liberal crap they ram down our throats.[;)]

EMM: now reread everything you've just written and apply that 180 degrees, i.e., directly to yourself.

I am not even going to comment on it, ain't worth the time or effort.

    sneaky,

I do try to apply everything I say to myself. I'm not saying I always get it down right or that I'm always right. Hell, quite a few folks have put me in my place when it comes right down to it. Dak To's opinion of the AR-15, for example, turned out to be spot on while mine couldn't have been more wrong.

Now I know comparing likes and dislikes in firearms versus something as fundamental as religious differences and the conflicts they engender is nowhere near on the same level, but I'm not afraid to change my mind if something comes up that says to me, "Dude, you aren't just wrong, you couldn't be more wrong."

The problem is not Muslims - Turks and Jordanians are Muslim and seem to get along with us just fine.

The problem is that militant Islam has succeeded in hijacking the whole of the religion and polarizing the conflict in such a way that it benefits them the most.

We do not win by saying, or should it ever get worse, engaging in "kill 'em all and let Allah sort them out."

When we adopt a black-and-white perspective on things, we automatically reduce our options. And when we eliminate enough options, we paint ourselves into a corner. And even though I'm not much of a computer expert, even I can say that binary code is a terrible way to run a war - "win" or "lose" as our only options eliminates the possibility of winning a little at a time or losing now to win later.

I'm just saying be a little more open-minded. Don't give up your convictions about what is moral or right - no one is asking you to convert, least of all me. But in a war it never hurts to remain flexible in your thinking.

BTW, I apologize for my abrasive manner earlier - it was uncalled for.

EMM, it's all good, we all have our differences in our opinions and views on things. Let's start with your exposure to muslims, their history, society, etc.? You got any muslim friends? Any muslim arab friends (or acquaintances)?

And trust me, I am way more open minded than I ever wanted to be, but when it comes to dealing with islam and that whole part of the world, I don't think there's a possibility anymore other than making that part of the world a big parking lot. It's not me, it's history, it's always been that way and things have not changed in hundreds of years, if not millenniums.

The first questions were just to simplify and shorten the discussion, not to sound condescending.

    sneaky,

Truthfully I have no Arab or Muslim friends - personally the Arabs I have encountered annoyed the living hell out of me. Hell, some Arab $#!thead a few years back threatened to kill my brother. Fortunately nothing came of that, but to even make the threat lends itself to a dim view of that group as a whole.

But given the limitations of our warmaking capabilities, or anyone else's for that matter, it behooves us to pick and choose our enemies rather than make more while we have our hands full.

I don't advocate surrender or compromise with the enemy - that solves nothing. I'm just saying we should be more discriminating in who we label enemy.[;)]

EMM, good point, however, we didn't (and Western societies never have) label muslims and arabs as enemies, they choose to be ours, period. It's got nothing to do with current affairs, it's been this way since Alexander the Great and I am yet to dig out any reference on why exactly it is the way it is.

If you have noticed, denoucing of terrorist act tends to come only after the religious beliefs or associations come into question. Otherwise they tend to keep thier mouths shut.

AHansen, yes I have. Again, if muslims were so anti-terrorist the whole gazillion of them could do something about a handful but they are not interested in it, to say the least. Look back 6 years to 9/11 and how many of them "moderates" cheered.
