Kodiakk.....these things are NOT so "soft" we have a 12 yr old boy who comes in our store and he thought it would be funny to shoot one of the guys in our store. We have had some cheap versions of air soft guns in stock and the one that boy had was NASTY. He shot one guy in the arm....it looked like he was stung by a hornet. He swelled up and bled where it hit him. It was blue the next day and he said it actually made him sore for days.

My kids can be idiots at times.....(some of you are saying NOOOOooooo.) When the idiot buddies come around THAT is when you are looking at major brain shut-down. I would have the 14 yr old that lives next door to you come over so you can actually show them your cars and maybe even help you wax one of them. That will start the ball rolling toward them actually RESPECTING your treasures. Right now they are just cars owned by a guy next door...and even if they know that they mean a lot to you they don't realize the major details and how important even a tiny ding can be.

My girl.....right now.....KNOWS we don't get phone calls after 10 pm....we don't eat in our rooms....we go to bed before birds start chirping. Ask me if I am just now coming back from yelling at her for the little late nite party she has going on with her little friend in her room. If they are 15.....they are idiots...and have to be reminded every 10 to 15 minutes about common courtesy and rules to follow. You will be helping yourself and helping that young person if you can somehow TEACH them something while at the same time preserving your sanity.

As a father of 4 I am telling you that you can't get any better advice than this!

You're nicer than I am. A neighbor kid for the area (not next door) thought it was fun to ride his ATV in my front yard. He'd come racing thru, tearing up the grass, so fast that he was hard to catch. But I waited one day and ran out as he pulling thru and caught him my the collar and yanked him backwards off the ATV. I told him if he ever rode in my yard again that when I caught him I'd make sure that ATV never ran again. Then let him go.
About 15 minutes later his Dad showed up acting like a badass. And I stomped his ass all over my front yard. No problems since.

no respect or consideration for others property is an intolerable situation...reckon i would go with fatstrat solution after this was a ongoing repetitive event....cannot abide the passive agressive appeasement wimpy hide in the bushes response ...i believe this behavouir is causing a lot of the big problems in the country & world today...example: USA & Europe have graciously opened to others only to be overrun by unappreciative people who believe they can act & do any way they please...(i exist therefore i am owed everything at my whim) i worked my ass off, endured payments, pay taxes, work the ground or do the maintainence & you DO NOT have more rights on it than me.....finito

I think I would have a hard time grabbing a kid by the collar with as high as the lawyer population is. Not to say that he doesnt deserve it.........

We al know you are the exception to the rule. I haven't BEAT this child of mine.....but she gets a good "wake up" each and every day. Knowing how smart she is, and seeing the crap they TRY to pull on me....can only mean one thing. They are idiots when they reach a certain age. It is an airborn thing teens share with each other (like the flu)....I am certain if you were here right now this "idiot gene" that covers my daughter from head to toe 90% of the time would affect you greatly as well.

She wants to know where her flat iron is....ask me if she left it plugged up so mabe our house would burn down....NOW ask me if she wants it so she can get ready to go SWIMMING with her friends!!!!!!

    AAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Next door neighbor in another town accused of my kids shooting bb's at their horses, did not tell me this verbally, and NEVER spoke to us in the 3 years we lived there. Left me a "nasty-gram" in my mailbox, documenting that he "found a bb" in his horse-pasture (wow, I'm going to start praying to this dude instead of St. Anthony when I lose things, if he can find a bb in a pasture!), and that the horses are very valuable, and how the stress of this event could effect their health, and how we will be held responsible, and that he spoke abouty this to the person we were renting the house from (Mike's psychotic foster mother), who called us, and notified us.
    BAD MOVE!!!
First off, my kids do not shoot at any animal, unless they intend to kill, and if I though otherwise, I would not have allowed them to have guns of any kind. My kids are no angels, but I have deep reservations about this one.
I may be playing devil's advocate here, and I certianly understand that not all neighbors have the urge to meet and greet, however, I see not having regular communication with your neighbors, even if you agree to disagree, as a big no-no. As all parent's are defensive of their children, be prepared to have your revelation reacted to with shock and skepticism, followed closely by disbelief and defensiveness.
I believe I would have handled such an accusation much better if I had a dialogue, any dialogue, with the parents.

I can recall the parents being at home atleast 70% of the times it occured. NOt to mention it would take an absolute idiot to question things when I walk over with a handfull of a few hundred air soft bb's that were the same color as the ones the kid just shot. He is the only boy on the street that does this.

Don't use a wuss that bruises easily as a example! Just joking, I know they can hurt people. What I was meaning though is I doubt they will hurt his car as that's what he seemed worried about.

I have a Classic Army electric M15A4 carbine. Then for a side arm I have KJworks P-226 look alike that shoots off of gas. I had my wife shoot me, I wasn't to impressed and the M15 is supposed to be 350-400 FPS.

    I'll post pictures later on.

It's your property,........take control of it, and screw the "nice kids".
Have the "nice kids" do what they do, on mommy, and daddy's property!
Amazing that folks would contest the fact that this guy has little rats running around on HIS property, doing this.

i think that the best approach would be to talk to the parents first, as a youth i know that a neighbor yelling at me just makes everything more fun, a parent yelling at me is no fun, so def. talk to the parents and explain the entire situation
